The health bar, colored green, on top, and the Mana bar, colored blue, on the bottom.

Mana is the resource of some champions necessary to cast most of his/her abilities. The mana pool is represented by a blue bar below the green health bar and two numbers ( # / # ) in the middle of it. The first one is your current amount of mana and the second refers to the maximum amount you can store. Mana regenerates over time and this rate can be increased with masteries and items.

At level 18, the base mana pool ranges from Vayne's Vayne's 659 to Janna's Janna's 1454.

The most mana any champion can get is 7621.765, adding all mana per level runes, masteries, level 18 Janna's Janna's base mana, a fully stacked Archangel's Staff Archangel's Staff and 5 fully stacked Rods of Ages Rods of Ages.

Ways to increase maximum mana[ | ]

Several items and runes can increase the total mana of a champion. This statistic scales additively, which means that each bonus point acquired is directly added to the mana pool.

Items[ | ]

  • Archangel's Staff Archangel's Staff: +400 mana, +25 mana regeneration per 5, +45 ability power. Passive: 3% of your maximum mana is converted to ability power. Unique passive: Each time your champion uses an ability their maximum mana will increase by 4 mana. This effect has a 2 second cooldown. 2855 gold.
  • Banshee's Veil Banshee's Veil: +375 mana, +375 health, +50 magic resistance. Unique passive: Blocks one negative spell every 45 seconds. 2715 gold.
  • Blackfire Torch Blackfire Torch: +350 mana, +300 health, +50 ability power. Unique Passive: Your spells burn for an additional 5% of the target's maximum Health in magic damage over 3 seconds (effect halved for AoE and and damage over time). 2890 gold.
  • Catalyst the Protector Catalyst the Protector: +325 mana, +290 health. Unique passive: Upon leveling up restores 250 health and 200 mana over 8 seconds. 1325 gold.
  • Frozen Heart Frozen Heart: +500 mana, +99 armor. Unique passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 20% and reduces the attack speed of nearby enemies by 20%. 2775 gold.
  • Glacial Shroud Glacial Shroud: +425 mana, +45 armor, Unique passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 15%. 1525 gold.
  • Lich Bane Lich Bane: +350 mana, +80 ability power, +30 magic resistance, +7% movement speed. Unique passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your ability power in damage. This effect has a 3 second cooldown 3470 gold.
  • Manamune Manamune: +350 mana, +7 mana regeneration per 5, +20 damage. Unique passive: 2% of your maximum mana is converted to Attack Damage. Unique passive: Each time you attack, you gain one maximum mana (3 second cooldown). Each time you use an ability, you gain four maximum mana (3 second cooldown). Bonus caps at 1000 mana. 2110 gold.
  • Odyn's Veil Odyn's Veil: +350 mana, +350 health, +50 magic resistance. Unique passive : Reduces and stores 10% of magic damage dealt to your champion. Unique active: Deals 200 + (Stored magic damage)[Max: 400] to nearby enemy units. 90 second cooldown. 2715 gold.
  • Rod of Ages Rod of Ages: +525 mana, +450 health, +60 ability power. Passive: Your Champion gains 18 health, 20 mana, and 2 ability power every 1 min. Bonuses cap at +180 health, +200 mana, and +20 ability power. Unique passive: Upon leveling up, restores 250 health and 200 mana upon over 8 seconds. 3035 gold.
  • Sapphire Crystal Sapphire Crystal: +200 mana. 400 gold.
  • Sheen Sheen: +250 mana, +25 ability power, Unique passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals 100% extra base damage. This effect has a 3 second cooldown. 1260 gold.
  • Tear of the Goddess Tear of the Goddess: +350 mana, +7 mana regeneration per 5. Unique passive: Each time your Champion uses an ability their maximum mana will increase by 4 mana, up to a maximum of twice in a six second period; bonus caps at +1000 Mana. 995 gold.
  • Trinity Force Trinity Force: +250 mana, +30 attack damage, +30 ability power, +30% attack speed, +15% critical chance, +12% movement speed, +250 health. Unique passive: 25% chance on hit to slow the target by 35% (25% for ranged attacks) for 2.5 seconds; on cast, increases your base attack damage by 150% for one attack. 4070 gold.
