Xolan is a ruined city located somewhere on the Sai Kahleek in southern Shurima. It was once the location of the massive statue of Xolaani, a God-Warrior of ancient Shurima.

A Shuriman craftsman called Mennas is charged, along with his tutor, to restore the face of a statue of an ancient Shuriman ascendant called Xolaani, whose features were destroyed by the action of time and a rock slide. As she lived many years ago, no one who is alive has a record of what her face really looked like.

After Mennas’ mentor has a vision that she believes to be the god’s face, she calls together all the stonemasons. The night they are all to meet, Mennas hears the sounds of clicking from the lake in the center of the town. He follows it to find the water of the lake bed completely gone, and the same rotting smell everywhere.

Believing it to be a sign from Xolaani, he goes to the center of the lake bed where he finds stone carvings of human beings in agony beneath the sand. Mennas is quickly killed and the Voidborn swarm towards the town of Xolan.

Taliyah and the kids she was sheltering were heading to Xolan when they found Kai'Sa. After a heated argument between the two, they decided to disband with the other children and headed to the city.

There, they found only ruins and were cornered by Xer'Sai. Rek'Saiherself appeared, and Kai'Sa jumped into the tunnel below to lure her while Taliyah brought down the Xolaani statue to seal it.
