Flavour
Shurima's Ascended were doomed the moment they took up arms against the Void. This was an enemy that could never be beaten, and while the god-warriors were all but guaranteed immortality, their minds were never as resilient. Madness consumed them all. Xolaani, once a beloved and gifted healer, began using her hemomantic powers to control her brethren, and soon enough, the hatred between her and 6Aatrox boiled over into civil war.

Trivia

• Xolaani is voiced by Ellen Dubin, whom also voiced Nizana in Ruination.
• Internally, Xolaani is called Valeeva, which is the name of another Darkin that already existed in lore; it was used temporarily during development.
• In this form, 3 Jun, the Prodigy is Xolaani's vessel. The Darkin infested Jun after 1 Xolaani's Bloodletters were picked up in the ritual seen in 2 Momentous Choice and 11 Utter Devastation, which took place during the events of 5Kayn's attack on the Wuju Temple.
• Xolaani is shown in 4Bard's Level 1 card art in the bottom-right portal and battling with 8 Horazi, 4Varus, 6Aatrox and 5Kayle in the latter's card artworks.
• Xolaani is referenced in the Flavor Texts of 8 Horazi and 10 Taarosh.
• Xolaani was concepted to have chain-hooks for her weapons due to the chain being inspired by her desire to enslave everyone and her hooks evoking the Shuriman sun's obeisance.
