At two Determination I stacks, Xin Zhao's next Wind Becomes Lightning Wind Becomes Lightning strike or basic attack On-hit icon.png on-hit consumes the stacks to Heal power icon.png heal him for 7 − 92 (based on level) (+ 10% AD) (+ 55% AP).

At two Determination II stacks, Xin Zhao's next Wind Becomes Lightning Wind Becomes Lightning strike or basic attack Pix, Faerie Companion.png on-attack consumes the stacks to deal 15 / 25 / 35 / 45% (based on level) AD bonus physical damage.

  • Hitting one or more enemies with Wind Becomes Lightning's Wind Becomes Lightning's strikes generates one stack per strike.
  • If Guinsoo's Rageblade Guinsoo's Rageblade would trigger when the Determination II stacks are at maximum, the bonus stack will instead overstack, and be consumed on the next Determination II usage.
  • Stacks of Determination will be gained even if the attack is Spirit's Refuge.png blocked.
  • 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓 : Determination's interaction with parrying effects (Counter Strike.png dodge, Blind icon.png blind).

The second attack will refresh Three Talon Strike's duration.

Active: Xin Zhao uses his spear to slash in an arc and, after the cast time, unleashes a thrust in a line in the target direction. Each strike deals physical damage to all enemies hit, modified to 50% − 100% (based on level) against Minion icon.png minions, and the thrust's damage is increased by 0% − 33.3% (based on critical strike chance). Enemies hit by the thrust are also Slow icon.png slowed by 50% for 1.5 seconds and, if they are a champion or a monster, are Challenged Challenged and Sight icon.png revealed for 3 seconds.

Active: Xin Zhao sweeps his spear around him, dealing physical damage to all nearby enemies, capped at 600 against Monster icon.png monsters, and Airborne icon.png knocking back all non-Challenged Challenged targets hit up-to 700 units over 0.75 seconds, as well as Stun icon.png stunning them for the same duration.

For the next 5 seconds, Xin Zhao is also Cosmic Radiance.png invulnerable to enemy Champion icon.png champions more than 450-units away from him.

  • Enemies will not be marked as Challenged Challenged if Crescent Guard has not been learned. Learning the ability after an enemy would have been marked will still cause them to be Airborne icon.png knocked back.
