Abilities

Edit

Mana Surge

Xerath Mana Surge.png

Innate: Xerath periodically empowers his next basic attack to restore 30 − 195 (based on level) Mana icon.png mana, doubled to 60 − 390 (based on level) against enemy Champion icon.png champions.

Mana Surge does not trigger if Xerath would restore above his maximum mana.

Info
  • Mana Surge does not occur against structures.
  • Mana Surge will trigger even if the attack is Shen Spirit's Refuge.png blocked.
  • 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓 : Mana Surge's interactions with Jax Counter Strike.png dodging, and Blind icon.png blinding effects.

Edit

Arcanopulse

Xerath Arcanopulse.png

Active: Xerath Channeling icon.png charges for up to 3 seconds to increase Arcanopulse's Range icon.png range over the first 1.5 to 1.75 seconds of the channel while being Slow icon.png slowed by 0% − 40% (based on channel time). Arcanopulse can be recast at any time within its duration.

If the charge completes without reactivation or is Silence icon.png interrupted, Arcanopulse is cancelled, refunding Mana icon.png half of its mana cost.

Mana Refunded:
40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60

Recast: After a delay of 0.528 seconds, Xerath fires a beam of energy in the target direction, dealing magic damage to all enemies within the area.

Magic Damage:
70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 85% AP)

Info
  • The onset of Arcanopulse's self-Slow icon.png slow and first range increase is at a random interval of 0 to 0.25 seconds. The real time to maximum self-slow and range is thus 1.5 to 1.75 seconds.
  • The rectangle hitbox's minimum range is Range model.png 0, right through Xerath's center.
  • The following table refers for interactions while Xerath is Channeling icon.png channeling:

    Eye of Destruction

    Xerath Eye of Destruction.png

Active: Xerath calls down a blast of arcane energy upon the target location which strikes after 0.528 seconds, granting Sight icon.png sight of the area briefly and dealing magic damage to all enemies within and Slow icon.png slowing them by 25% for 2.5 seconds.

    Magic Damage:
    60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+ 60% AP)

Enemies in the center of the blast take 66.7% increased damage and are Slow icon.png slowed by a greater amount, decaying to 25% over the duration.

    Enhanced Damage:
    100.02 / 158.365 / 216.71 / 275.055 / 333.4 (+ 100.02% AP)
    Enhanced Slow:
    60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80%

    Info
    • Xerath's location gets Sight icon.png revealed to the enemy (450 radius for 4.5 seconds) if Eye of Destruction's cast location is within 100 units of a valid enemy at the start of the cast time due to something related to targeting types.(note)
    • Eye of Destruction's targeting indicator appears on the player's mini-map, despite the ability not having the longer range of others with this quality.
      • This is likely a remnant from a version of the ability tested on the PBE for Xerath's V4.2 Rework, that had a longer range.[citation needed]

    Edit

    Shocking Orb

    Xerath Shocking Orb.png

Active: Xerath fires an orb of energy in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy hit and Stun icon.png stunning them for 0.5 − 2 (based on distance the orb traveled) seconds.

    Magic Damage:
    80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+ 45% AP)

    Info
    • Shocking Orb will cast from wherever Xerath is at the end of the cast time.

    Edit

    Rite of the Arcane

    Xerath Rite of the Arcane.png

Active: Xerath Channeling icon.png channels for up to 10 seconds, unleashing his true power, gaining the ability to recast Rite of the Arcane multiple times after 0.5 seconds within its duration.

    Number of Recasts:
    3 / 4 / 5

Recast: Xerath launches a blast of arcane energy to the target location which strikes after 0.627 seconds, briefly granting Sight icon.png sight of the area and dealing magic damage to enemies within. Each cast has a static cooldown of 0.5 seconds.

    Magic Damage:
    200 / 250 / 300 (+ 45% AP)
    Total Damage:
    600 / 1000 / 1500 (+ 135 / 180 / 225% AP)

If none of the recasts were used and Rite of the Arcane's channel times out or Xerath manually interrupts it, half of the ability's Cooldown reduction icon.png cooldown is refunded.

Rite of the Arcane's recast will cast at max range if cast beyond that. Xerath will Sight icon.png reveal himself if a barrage lands to an area within a distance of an enemy.

    Distance:
    175 / 200 / 225

    Info
    • Xerath also gains Range icon.png 5000 bonus attack range while Channeling icon.png channeling, for a total of Range icon.png 5525.(note)
      • While attacking during the channel is not possible, the bonus may persist「 for up-to 0.264 seconds 」「 until the next stat update 」after the end of the channel, allowing Xerath to sucessfully issue a single basic attack at this range if he does so quickly enough.
    • Each cast counts as an ability activation for the purposes of on-cast effects such as Sheen item.png Spellblade and stacking Force Pulse Force Pulse.
    • The recast is named Arcane Barrage.
    • A circular indicator will be displayed at the target location to signify that the area will be blasted.
    • A circle indicating the ability's maximum range forms on the map over 1 second (starting small and rapidly expanding to the maximum range over the delay) for the channel's duration.
      • The maximum-range indicator is visible to both allies and enemies and is color coded for friendly (blue) or hostile (red).
    • Rite of the Arcane uses a barrage system so that it can be recast multiple times within a given period at no additional cost.
    • Xerath will turn to face toward the direction of the target location after using a recast.
    • Xerath gains a wider field of view during Rite of the Arcane.
    • Xerath can use Dark Passage Dark Passage while channeling.
