Brackern[]

Surrounded around the Shuriman Continent are several clans of Brackern, including clans in the Shuriman desert.

Dormun[]

The Dormun are gigantic, slow-moving creatures protected with large chitinous plates covering their body. In the harsh conditions of Shurima they have evolved to survive the perpetual drought by utilizing an unknown sense to locate hidden reservoirs of water. Incidentally, certain nomadic tribes have built themselves a permanent home upon the backs of these beasts where they clean the creature and hunt any airborne pests who venture near.

Eka'Sul[]

Desert goats that travel in herds.

Mwatis[]

Mwatis are goatlike creatures with large plated casques on their heads. Mwati wool and plate are prised for felting and insulation.

Kmiros[]

Gigantic scarabs that roam in swarms, looking for unfortunate travelers to feed on. They seem to be common prey for Rammus Rammus.

Outerbeasts[]

Beside the Xer'Sai, other creatures from the Void, referred to as 'outerbeasts', can be found in the desert.

  • Xer'Sai: Creatures from the Void that plague the southern deserts. They are the size of big dogs on average, but can be smaller or much bigger. Rek'Sai Rek'Sai, as the queen, is by far the largest and most dangerous of her species. Xer'sai burst from their small burrows and ravage anything nearby, to the detriment of desert caravans. Once dead, the Xer'sai decompose at an abnormally rapid rate and become inedible.

Ralsiji[]

Large and aggressive minotaur-like creatures. They are humpbacked quadrupeds with long limbs and thick horns.

Shuriman Camel[]

A breed of camels native to the deserts of Shurima and are used by caravans as well as common folk as primary mode of transportation. Despite being well-suited for lengthy travels in the desert landscape, they are still prey to a many predator such as the Xer'Sai.

Sandswimmers[]

Sandswimmers

Sandswimmers are massive quadrupedal creatures that traverse the Shuriman desert in cyclical patterns. They got their name due to their preferred method of travel. Their narrow bodies and webbed feet are perfectly design for swimming under the sand. They feed on bugs and other small creatures most desert beasts ignore. Scavengers will often memorize the predictable paths these creatures take, and jump onto their backs to ride as far as they wish.


Skallashi[]

The Skallashi are large quadrupedal herbivores. These hardy beasts of burden are common across Shurima, ideally suited to the harsh desert environment. Their key body feature is their long legs. Notoriously bad-tempered, they are nevertheless treated with great reverence. Their brown hides are often painted with sacred symbols of protection, and their horns hung with totems and charms. While these creatures are mostly used for travel and carrying heavy loads, on some larger skallashi people are able to built miniature rooms for more comfortable travel. To own one is often considered a sign of considerable prosperity.

The Relentless Storm

Innate: Whenever Volibear damages at least one enemy with a basic attack or ability, he generates a stack of The Relentless Storm for 6 seconds, refreshing on subsequent damage and stacking up to 5 times. At 5 stacks, Volibear gains Lightning Claws.

The Relentless Storm: For each stack, Volibear gains  inherit5% Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 4% per 100 AP) Champions hit with Martial Cadence (P)bonus attack speed, up to inherit25% Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 20% per 100 AP).

Lightning Claws: Volibear's claws ignite with lightning, empowering his basic attacks on-hit to deal Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)11 − 60 (based on level) Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 50% AP) bonus magic damage to the target and the nearest visible enemy within 450 units of the target, chaining up to 4 subsequent targets.

  • Volibear's spikes visually grow as The Relentless Storm stacks.
  • Stacks of The Relentless Storm are also granted on-hit, but will specifically not be if the target is invulnerable.
  • While at four stacks, the next attack or ability on-hit reaching the fifth stack will be empowered by Lightning Claws.
  • A stack of The Relentless Storm is not gained if the attack is dodged and/or missed if Volibear is blinded. A stack is granted even if the attack is blocked. In all cases, Lightning Claws will not apply (on-hit damage is parried and the bounce is prevented).
    • Since Frenzied Maul Frenzied Maul cannot be missed while Volibear is blinded, gaining stacks from The Relentless Storm and applying Lighting Claws from the ability will not be prevented from that parry effect.
  • Volibear has a hidden passive that grants him Healing from Spirit of Dread (W)1 armor for every enemy Zilean Zilean within 800 range of him.
    • Likewise, Zilean Zilean gains Damage to champions with Center of the Universe (P)1 ability power for every nearby Volibear.
    • Neither Volibear nor Zilean Zilean need sight of one another to gain these bonuses.
  • The empowered attacks do not affect structures nor wards.

Thundering Smash

Active: Volibear drops on all fours, becoming ghosted and gaining  Champions killed 5s before or after using Chronobreak (R)bonus movement speed for 4 seconds, doubled while facing a visible enemy champion within 2000 units.

Bonus Movement Speed:
12 / 16 / 20 / 24 / 28%
Increased Bonus Movement Speed:
24 / 32 / 40 / 48 / 56%

During this time, Volibear's next basic attack is empowered to have an uncancellable windup, gain  25 bonus range, and pounce on the target, dealing Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangebonus physical damage and stunning them for 1 second. This damage applies  life steal at 100% effectiveness.

Bonus Physical Damage:
10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 Champions stunned with Pyromania (P)(+ 120% bonus AD)

If Volibear becomes immobilized or polymorphed by an enemy during Thundering Smash, the effect ends prematurely and the  cooldown is reset.

Thundering Smash resets Volibear's basic attack timer.

Active: Volibear slashes the target enemy with his claws to deal Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangephysical damage, apply on-hit and on-attack effects at 100% effectiveness, and mark them Wounded for 8 seconds.

  • Frenzied Maul deals basic damage, but also triggers spell effects by dealing an additional 0 spell damage.
  • Frenzied Maul's bite heals even if it is blocked by spell shield.
  • Frenzied Maul's strike can be dodged and blocked, but it cannot miss if Volibear is blinded. The Wound mark does not apply if dodged, but will otherwise do so regardless.
    • The bite can be blocked but Volibear still heals. It does not heal nor deal damage if the bite is dodged. The bite cannot miss if Volibear is blinded.
  • Frenzied Maul deals bonus damage and heals if the target is still Wounded after the cast time. If the mark wares off before the cast time completes, the ability's animation will appear as if the bite was applied but there is no bonus damage or heal.
  • If the target becomes untargetable, dies, or is too far away or no longer in sight during the cast time, this ability will cancel but does not go on  cooldown nor pay its cost (if applicable).

Active: Volibear summons a lightning bolt to strike at the target location after a 2-second delay, granting sight of the area for 1 second after the first second of the delay. If Volibear is within the strike, he gains a shield equal to Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)14% of his maximum health Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 75% AP) for 3 seconds.

The bolt deals Damage mitigated with Shifting Sands (E)magic damage to enemies hit, capped at 650 against non- champions, and slows them by 40% for 2 seconds.

  • Enemies cannot see the location of the cast for the first second, but they can already tell that the spell is underway by noticing Volibear's cast animation.
    • Volibear can cast Sky Splitter during the movement speed boost from Thundering Smash to prevent the animation from playing.

Active: Volibear gains Stormbringer for 12 seconds and leaps to the target location with displacement immunity, granting sight of the area in a 500 radius during the travel.

Stormbringer: Volibear gains ghosting,  Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)bonus health,  50 bonus attack range, 25 increased range on Frenzied Maul Frenzied Maul, and 35% increased size.

Bonus Health:
175 / 350 / 525

Volibear impacts after 1 second, slowing nearby enemies by 50% decaying over 1 second. Enemies within the epicenter are also dealt Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangephysical damage.

Physical Damage:
300 / 500 / 700 Champions stunned with Pyromania (P)(+ 250% bonus AD) Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 125% AP)

Volibear also disables enemy turrets in an area for a duration, rendering them unable to attack, as well as dealing them the same damage.

Turret Disable Duration:
2 / 3 / 4 seconds

Stormbringer will cast at max range if cast beyond that. Thundering Smash's Thundering Smash's duration will be paused for the leap.

  • Stormbringer will disable any turret that is not the Nexus Obelisk, even if it is untargetable.
    • Stormbringer will not deal damage to untargetable turrets.
  • Volibear grows to his new size over 1.25 seconds, starting 0.25 seconds after landing, and shrinks back to his normal size over 0.5 seconds after Stormbinger's status ends, respectively.
  • Volibear leaps over 1 second regardless of distance or  movement speed.
    • Volibear impacts immediately at his current location if Stormbringer is cast over terrain he cannot pass through (due to not being able to cover the distance required).(bug)
  • The additional bonuses are granted on-cast.
  • The turret disable debuff is named Ohmwrecker.
  • Disabling a turret does not prevent aggro of the current target it is locked onto. The increased turret shot damage from Ohmwrecker Ohmwrecker is also reset.
    • Turrets maintain the same targeting behavior even when disabled; damaging an enemy champion will still draw turret aggro. However, if the turret's desired target leaves range or has become an invalid target, it will lock onto the most previous target it was going to attack prior to becoming disabled, or instead, find a new one if that condition is not applicable.

      • Innate: Volibear gains 1 stack of The Relentless Storm whenever he damages an enemy with basic attacks on-hit and abilities, up to a maximum of 5. The Relentless Storm lasts for 6 seconds, refreshing whenever Volibear gains a stack. At maximum stacks, he gains Lightning Claws.
      • The Relentless Storm: Volibear gains  Champions hit with Martial Cadence (P)5% bonus attack speed per stack, up to Champions hit with Martial Cadence (P)25% bonus attack speed.
      • Lightning Claws: Volibear's claws ignite with lightning, causing his basic attacks on-hit to deal Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)11 − 60 (based on level) Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 40% AP) bonus magic damage to the target and the closest visible enemy within 450 units of the target, chaining up to 4 subsequent targets.
      • Effect Radius: 450.
    • Thundering Smash Thundering Smash (Q)
      • Active: Volibear drops on all fours, becoming ghosted and gaining 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30% Champions killed 5s before or after using Chronobreak (R)bonus movement speed for 4 seconds, doubled when moving towards visible enemy champions.
      • While active, Volibear's next basic attack within the duration pounces on the target, deals 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 Champions stunned with Pyromania (P)(+ 120% bonus AD) Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangebonus physical damage, and stuns the target for 1 second.
      • If Volibear becomes immobilized while Thundering Smash is active, the effect ends prematurely and the  cooldown is reset.
      • Thundering Smash resets Volibear's basic attack timer, benefits from  life steal and is affected by critical strike modifiers.

      • Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 seconds.
    • Frenzied Maul Frenzied Maul (W)
      • Active: Volibear strikes the target enemy, dealing 10 / 35 / 60 / 85 / 110 Champions stunned with Pyromania (P)(+ 100% AD) Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)(+ 6% of his bonus health) Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangephysical damage, applying on-hit effects, and inheritWounding them for 8 seconds.
      • If Frenzied Maul targets a inheritWounded enemy, Volibear bites the target, dealing 50% increased damage and healing himself for 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)(+ 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16% of his missing health). The heal is halved against minions.
      • Frenzied Maul also benefits from  life steal.
      • Mana Cost: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50.
      • Cooldown: 5 seconds.
      • Target Range: 325 / 350.
      • Cast Time: 0.25 seconds.
    • Sky Splitter Sky Splitter (E)
      • Active: Volibear summons a lightning bolt to strike at the target location after a 2-second delay. Enemies can see the cast location indicator after a 1-second delay. If Volibear is within the lightning strike, he shields himself for Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)15% of his maximum health Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 80% AP) for 3 seconds.
      • The lightning bolt deals 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 80% AP) Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)(+ 7 / 8.5 / 10 / 11.5 / 13% of target's maximum health) Damage mitigated with Shifting Sands (E)magic damage to all enemies struck, capped at 100 / 200 / 300 / 400 / 500 against non-champions, slowing them by 40% for 2 seconds, and grants sight of the area for X seconds.

    • Stormbringer Stormbringer (R)
      • Active: Volibear gains Stormbringer for 12 seconds and leaps to the target location with immunity to crowd control as well as granting sight of the area in a 500 radius during it. If Thundering Smash Thundering Smash is active when Stormbringer is cast, its duration is refreshed.
      • Stormbringer: Volibear becomes ghosted and gains 200 / 400 / 600 Champions killed with Comeuppance (R)bonus health,  50 bonus attack range, 25 increased range on Frenzied Maul Frenzied Maul, and 25% increased size.
      • Volibear impacts after a 1 second delay, slowing all enemies in an area by 50%, decaying over 1 second. Enemies in the epicenter are also dealt 250 / 475 / 700 Champions stunned with Pyromania (P)(+ 250% bonus AD) Multiple champions hit with Between Worlds (R)(+ 125% AP) Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangephysical damage.
      • Volibear also disables enemy turrets in an area for 2 / 4 / 6 seconds, dealing them the same Champions killed from outside standard Attack rangephysical damage.
      • Stormbringer will cast at max range if cast beyond that.

      • Cooldown: 160 / 140 / 120 seconds.
