- End of the first ranked season of TFT on November 6, 2019. Ranked will return on V9.23.
- Placing 4th or better will never deduct LP. Placing 5th or lower will never reward LP.
- We're slightly decreasing the number of challenger and grandmaster slots in many regions in order to make sure that the master to challenger ranks have the appropriate distribution of players.
- Korea, Vietnam, China: 300 Challengers, 700 Grand Masters.
- EU West and North America: 200 Challengers, 500 Grand Masters.

- Set 2 - Rise of the Elements

- Arena
- Board size increased to 4 rows of 7 hexes from 3 rows of 7 hexes.
- Elemental Hexes:
- Each game of TFT will have an element assigned, spawing elemental hexes of that element during the planning phase. The hexes will spawn in the same places for all players on every round; the first appears at Stage 1–1, and the second one appears at Stage 3–1.
- A champion that occupies the hex when the round starts may gain an elemental buff in the form of an item, provided that their inventory is not full. This buff is retained through the combat phase.
- Ocean Hex: This unit starts combat with an additional 30 starting mana.
- Inferno Hex: This unit starts combat with an additional 30% attack speed.
- Cloud Hex: This unit gains an additional 20% chance to dodge enemy basic attacks.
- Mountain Hex: At the end of the planning phase, this unit permanently gains 30 maximum health for the rest of the game.
- Carousel
- Once you pick up a champion from the carousel, your Little Legend will no longer collide with your opponents.
- Champion Drop Rates
- Level 8 drop rates by tier changed to 15 / 20 / 35 / 24 / 6% from 15 / 20 / 35 / 22 / 8%.
- Champion Pool
- Number of Tier-1 champions reduced to 29 from 39.
- Number of Tier-2 champions reduced to 22 from 26.
- Number of Tier-3 champions reduced to 16 from 18.

- 1-Star champion mana generation changed to 8 mana per attack from 6-10.
- 2-Star champion mana generation unchanged at 10 mana per attack.
- 3-Star champion mana generation increased to 12 mana per attack from 10.
- Mana generated from taking damage reduced by 15%.

- New Elemental Drakes:
- When the epic monster health is reduced below some thresholds, new mystery boxes dropped.

- Summoned units don't deal player damage by themselves, but they count as if their summoner was alive if at least 1 of them survives the round.
