Client

  • Rotating Game Mode: ARURF+ returns from January 28, 2019 to April 1, 2019 with a few changes.
    • Reroll bench: Now uses the same system as in ARAM for champion selection, where you can reroll a champion and place it to the bench for other ally to select.
    • Champion cannon: Just outside each fountain is a champion cannon that you can jump in and use to launch yourself great distances across the map. The cannon can help you get to the action in an instant, but aim carefully, enemies will get a warning that you're dropping in. The champion cannon deals 120 − 460 (based on level) magic damage upon landing.
    • Baron NashorSquare Baron Nashor spawns at 10 minutes and grants both the Hand of Baron buff Hand of Baron and Eye of the Herald buff Eye of the Herald when slain.
    • DragonSquare Elemental Drakes are replaced with a special Elder DragonSquare Elder Dragon that spawns at 6 minutes and grants Aspect of the Dragon buff Aspect of the Dragon as well as a stack of every single elemental dragon's Dragon Slayer buff Dragon Slayer when defeated.
    • Minion gold: When minions die you get a chunk of gold whether you last hit them or not. Additionally, last hitting a minion grants more gold.
    • Golden Spatula Club (RP icon 1250): This is a new club membership that lasts for the duration of the event. Joining grants you:
      • 1 random individual skin boost every game.
      • 1 additional reroll each game (maximum allowed is still 2).
      • 3 new randomized champion finishers. The more people on your team that are members, the fancier your finishers will be.
      • Special minion taunts.
    • Early surrender: Can now unanimously surrender at 8 minutes, or normal surrender at 10 minutes.
    • Early homeguard: Homeguard is enabled from the start of the match.
    • Bonus turret damage: Rip down enemy structures a bit faster with our newest tweak to URF's Awesome Buff of Awesomeness.
    • No champions disabled: All champions are available to play.

Ranked Season 2019
  • Season 2019 Ranked season begins on January 24th, 2019.
  • You'll get a provisional rank after your first Ranked game, which is the lowest rank you can end placements in. Placement wins grant bonus LP; losses don't cost LP. Your rank becomes visible to others after finishing placements.
  • We've added Iron tier below Bronze and Grandmaster tier between Master and Challenger. Division V has been removed from all tiers.
  • This new reward reflects your current rank across your profile, Ranked dashboard, and hovercard as well as game lobbies.
  • Season 2019 is broken into three splits, with your performance in each split upgrading your ranked armor. There's no soft reset or time off between splits. End of season rewards are still based on your overall performance across the season.
  • We're previewing position ranks in Korea and North America for split 1 and plan to roll them out globally in split 2. Each position has its own matchmaking rating and rank, with matches rewarding LP and rating for the position you played, plus a little for your other positions to recognize overall improvement as you climb.
Honor
  • Honor reset:
    • Previous level 5 are now level 2, checkpoint 3.
    • Previous level 4 are now level 2, checkpoint 2.
    • Previous level 3 are now level 2, checkpoint 1.
    • Previous level 2 are now level 2, no checkpoints.

    • For the next X seconds, Sylas may cast Abduct.

    • All Hijacked ultimates and abilities that do not scale with ability power have their attack damage ratios converted to ability power ratios, scaling with 0.7% AP per 1% total AD, and 0.5% AP per 1% bonus AD.
