- Certain shards are now part of a new player trial.
- [Which servers?]
- Accounts that have completed 5 or fewer Summoner's Rift games outside of Co-op vs AI queues will now be automatically matched with and against a number of bots.
- These bots are meant to adapt to the player's skill in the first few games, providing a more gradual increase in difficulty than if the player were to be matched with and against experienced players.
- This behavior ends with the completion of 5 Summoner's Rift games in a Normal queue (Quickplay and Draft Pick) for the new account.
- Queuing in a party with new player(s) will not prevent the addition of bots into the match, until their five-game period has finished.
- The trial will gauge any positive impact that systems outside of matchmaking may have on the new-player experience. If the launch on certain regions is functional, more systems may be implemented and iterated upon for non-Ranked queues in the future, in order to render the new-player experience smoother and more pleasant.
- Queuing
- The penalty changes for AFK check failure from last patch are now live for all servers. As a reminder:
- Penalties for repeatedly ignoring or declining the AFK check at the maximum lockout tier will now escalate to account suspensions if the account continues to exhibit AFK check failure behavior.
