  • The season transition experience will be similar to what we had in the past: Ranked queues will be disabled for a couple of hours, and will be brought back as soon as 14.1 is up, and a couple of hours after that, Split 1 will be officially launched! The Return of Blue Essence Emporium
  • "Blue Essence Emporium is back! You’ll be able to spend your Blue Essence on chromas released prior to July 2023, accessories, and more starting on December 13, 21:00 UTC. We’ve also brought back the highly requested mystery wards and icons so definitely take advantage of that while you can. The Emporium will remain open until December 27, 21:00 UTC, so make sure to drop by and drop that Blue Essence! Due to technical issues we’ve disabled the ability to gift mystery wards and icons, however this feature will return in a future Blue Essence Emporium."

Settings
  • New: The player can manually and globally override the targeting behavior of all their abilities that by default force the caster to walk into range of a target unit or location when it is further than the spell's maximum range. When enabled, all of these spells may cast at maximum range instead, when targeted outside of maximum range.
    • The toggle can be found under Game -> Gameplay -> "Clamp cast target location within max range".

  • Devastating Fire Devastating Fire - QQ
    • Active - QQ: Hwei slings a fireball in the target direction that explodes upon colliding with the first enemy or reaching maximum range, dealing 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 60% AP) (+ 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5 / 6% of target's maximum health) magic damage to all nearby enemies. The damage based on the target's health ratio is capped at 250 against Monster icon monsters.
    • Cast Time: 0.25 seconds, Range: 800, Speed: 2000.
  • Severing Bolt Severing Bolt - QW
    • Active - QW: Hwei calls upon a lightning bolt to strike at the target location after 1 second, dealing 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+ 25% AP) magic damage to enemies within the area.
    • Against enemies that are Stun icon immobilized or isolated from their allies, Severing Bolt deals 200 / 237.5 / 275 / 312.5 / 350% Successfully enhanced damage magic icon increased damage based on the target's missing health. This bonus damage is capped at 300 against monsters.
    • Severing Bolt deals 50% damage to Minion icon minions and non-epic Monster icon monsters.
    • Cast Time: 0.5 seconds, Target Range: 1900.
  • Molten Fissure Molten Fissure - QE
    • Active - QE: Hwei marks a blazing path in the target direction. After 0.7 seconds, the path erupts into volcanic explosions every 0.175 seconds from the point of cast. Each explosion creates a shockwave that deals 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 30% AP) magic damage to nearby enemies.
    • Each explosion also leaves a lava fissure in its wake. A fissure lasts for 2.5 seconds, dealing 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 (+ 6.25% AP) magic damage every 0.25 seconds to enemies within the area and Slow icon slowing them by 30%.
    • Molten Fissure's damage is reduced to 60% against Minion icon minions and increased to 135% against Monster icon monsters.
    • Cast Time: 0.35 seconds.
  • Subject: Serenity Subject: Serenity - W
    • Active: Hwei enters a serene mood, gaining access to its abilities as well as Wash Brush Wash Brush. He will exit the mood upon casting any of them.

    • Active - WW: Hwei summons a pool of water at the target location, creating a protective zone for 3 seconds that grants him and allied Champion icon champions a Hybrid resistances icon shield for 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 (+ 30% AP) for 0.5 seconds while within the area. The shield refreshes and increases in strength by 3.75 / 4.58 / 5.42 / 6.25 / 7.08 (+ 2.5% AP) every 0.264 seconds over the duration while they remain in the area, up to a total maximum shield of 90 / 110 / 130 / 150 / 170 (+ 60% AP).
    • Pool of Reflection's shield strength is reduced to 50% for allies.
    • Cast Time: 0.3 seconds.
  • Stirring Lights Stirring Lights - WE
    • Active - WE: Hwei surrounds himself in swirling flares that empower his next 3 basic attacks or ability hits within 9 seconds to each deal 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 (+ 20% AP) bonus magic damage and restore 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 Mana icon mana.
    • Stirring Lights' bonus damage is reduced to 50% against Minion icon minions or Monster icon monsters if applied by his area of effect abilities.

    • Active - EW: Hwei tosses an eyeball to the target location. Upon arrival, it expands into a dark gaze for 1.35 to 3 seconds based on cast distance, granting Sight icon sight in a larger area. After 0.7 seconds of being placed, the eye locks onto the nearest visible enemy champion, launching itself at the target after 0.35 seconds and colliding with the first enemy hit to deal 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 55% AP) magic damage, True Sight icon reveal them for 2.5 seconds, and Root icon root them for 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 / 2 seconds.
    • Cast Time: 0.25 seconds, Effect Radius: 350.
  • Crushing Maw Crushing Maw - EE
    • Active - EE: Hwei conjures a jaw at the target location that snaps after 0.627 seconds, dealing 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 55% AP) magic damage to enemies in the area and Slow icon slowing them by 40 / 47.5 / 55 / 62.5 / 70%, decaying over 1.25 seconds. Enemies that are not standing at the center when the jaw snaps are Airborne icon pulled there.
    • Cast Time: 0.35 seconds.
  • Wash Brush Wash Brush - QR, WR, ER
    • Active - QR, WR, ER: Hwei exits his current mood without incurring its ability cost or cooldown.
    • Wash Brush can only be cast if Hwei has entered a mood.
    • Cast Time: None.
  • Spiraling Despair Spiraling Despair - R
    • Active: Hwei launches a globule of pure despair in the target direction that collides with the first enemy Champion icon champion hit, afflicting them with an aura that grows over 3 seconds, True Sight icon reveals the target, and grants Sight icon sight within its radius. Enemies within are both dealt 2.5 / 5 / 7.5 (+ 1.25% AP) magic damage and applied a stack of Despair every 0.25 seconds.
    • Despair: For each stack, the target is Slow icon slowed by 10% for 0.25 seconds, stacking up to 12 times.
    • At the end of the duration or when the target dies, the aura explodes to deal 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 80% AP) magic damage to enemies within and remove all Despair stacks from affected enemies.
    • Spiraling Despair can only be cast if Hwei has not entered a mood.
    • Mana Cost: 100.
    • Cooldown: 140 / 110 / 80 seconds.
    • Cast Time: 0.25 seconds, Range: Range model 1340, Effect Radius: Range center 500, Width: Range model 160, Speed: 1400.

    • Outgoing damage modifier changed to 0% from -10%.

Arena[]

Gameplay
  • Gates
    • Hex-gates have been added to each of the 4 battle arenas, which function the same as those on the Hextech Rift Hextech Rift map on Summoner's Rift. Champions on either team can interact with these gates to dash to the other side of them. Gates have a 7-second cooldown after being activated.
  • Downed State/Reviving
    • When a champion on either team takes fatal damage for the first time each round, they enter a downed state where they are essentially dead. After 11-8 seconds (based on round number) of being downed, their ally can stand near where they entered the state for 3 seconds to afterwards revive them, Heal power icon healing them for 150 − 1425 (based on level) and causing them to become Untargetable icon untargetable, Cosmic Radiance invulnerable, and unable to attack or cast spells for 0.75 seconds. They will also gain 30% damage reduction, 75% bonus movement speed, and 50% Tenacity icon Tenacity for 3 seconds, decaying after 0.75 seconds over the remaining duration.
      • The amount of time required for the revive to occur is cumulative; leaving the downed area will not reset the timer.
      • The ally must not be under a Revival icon resurrection effect in order to perform the revive.
      • Revive duration is reduced based on the ally's heal and shield power as well as their missing health.
  • Cameos
    • The cameos for the following champions have been removed: Evelynn Evelynn, Jhin Jhin, Lux Lux, Naafiri Naafiri, Samira Samira, Shaco Shaco, and Viego Viego.
    • The following cameos have been added:
      • Sylas' Sylas' Great Mage Rebellion:
        • At the start of the combat round, Sylas Sylas breaks the chains to replace each champion's non-Flash Flash summoner spell with a random ultimate ability. Once the hijacked ability is cast, the spell in the slot is reverted back to the original one.
      • Thresh's Thresh's Midnight Express:
        • Thresh Thresh roams around the battlefield to provide assistance. He periodically casts his Dark Passage Dark Passage to the champion furthest from him which also grants the nearest champion with the lowest health a continuous Hybrid resistances icon shield. Any champion on either team can interact with the lantern on the ground to Dash dash to Thresh's location.
          • If one of a team's champions is caught and downed in the Ring of Fire, Thresh will move to that player's location and throw his lantern towards their ally. Additionally, if one team outnumbers the other in alive members, he will always throw his lantern to the disadvantaged team.

      • Stats: 40 attack damage, 12 lethality, 15% omnivamp.
      • Unique Passive - Char: Basic attacks on-hit and ability hits against enemies Heal power icon heal you for 2% of target's current health and apply a burn that deals 2% of target's missing health (+ 12% bonus AD) (+ 10% AP) physical damage every second over 4 seconds.
    • Perplexity Perplexity - New exclusive item
      • Cost: 3000 Gold 3000.
      • Stats: 70 ability power, 22% armor penetration, 30% magic penetration, 8% movement speed.
      • Unique Passive - Giant Slayer: Deal 0% − 22% (based on maximum health difference) bonus damage against enemy champions with greater maximum health than you.
    • Sword of Blossoming Dawn Sword of Blossoming Dawn - New exclusive item
      • Cost: 3000 Gold 3000.
      • Stats: 15 ability haste, 40 ability power, 200 health, 15% heal and shield power.
      • Unique Passive - Effervescence: Gain 1.2% bonus attack speed per 1% heal and shield power.
      • Unique Passive - Peppermint: Basic attacks on-hit cause the most wounded and nearest allied champion to be Heal power icon healed for 15 − 45 (based on level) (+ 10% bonus AD) (+ 7% AP).
    • Wooglet's Witchcap Wooglet's Witchcap - Re-added
      • Obtained from the Quest Wooglet's Witchcap augment Quest: Wooglet's Witchcap augment.
        • Stats: 300 ability power, 20 ability haste, 50 armor.
        • Unique Active - Stasis: Put yourself in Stasis icon stasis for 2.5 seconds, rendering you Untargetable icon untargetable and Cosmic Radiance invulnerable for the duration but also unable to move, declare basic attacks, cast abilities, use summoner spells, or activate items.
    • Wordless Promise Wordless Promise - New exclusive item
      • Cost: 3000 Gold 3000.
      • Stats: 25 ability haste, 60 ability power, 15% heal and shield power.
      • Unique Active - Promise: Make a Promise to the target allied champion, forming a Focused Resolve tether between you and them. Champions can only be promised to by one Wordless Promise at a time.
      • Unique Passive - Promise: While your Promised ally is tethered to you, gain ability power equal to 20% of Promised ally's AP, and grant your Promised ally ability haste equal to 20% of your ability haste.
  • Augments
    • No more than two champions can now possess the same augment.
    • The following augments have been added:

    • New Challenges for the Arena mode in particular have been added:

      • The Wall: Take 10,000 pre-mitigation damage from champions in a single fight without dying.
      • Outplaying the Odds: Get kills while more enemy champions than friendly ones are nearby.

  • Arena Stat Adjustments (buff)
