Client[]

  • Rotating Game Mode: Ultimate Spellbook returns to live servers from November 18, 2021 (1:00 PM PT) to January 10, 2022 (11:59 PM PT).
  • Essence Emporium returns from November 18th to December 1st, 2021.
End of Season Rewards
  • Summoner's Rift Ranked and Honor End of Season Rewards will be distributed starting this patch and will be completed by December 16 (Riot Regions and Garena only). Clash End of Season Rewards will be distributed starting this patch and will be completed by December 16 (Riot Regions only). Tencent will distribute Ranked and Clash rewards for players in China during patch 11.24.
Ixtal Clash
  • Team formation for the first weekend of the Ixtal-themed Clash starts on November 15, and the tournament will be on November 20 and 21. Team formation for the second weekend will open on November 29, and the tournament will be on December 4 and 5.
  • Ixtal Clash is not a part of the regular Clash season. You'll still be able to earn Ixtal rewards, but your Clash VP track won't be affected.
Loot Odds
  • Drop rates for content from Loot items, now called Loot Odds, will soon be displayed in the Store on the League client! You can now view Loot Odds directly in the client in addition to the existing Hextech Crafting FAQ webpage so you can make better informed decisions at the time of purchase.
  • Loot Odds will roll out slowly all over the globe starting later in patch 11.23. Certain regions have additional regulations around Loot, so it may take additional time for Loot Odds to appear.

All Chat
  • Based on initial results since we originally disabled /all chat in a few regions in patch 11.21, we're continuing the disable where it's already in effect but we're not adding additional regions. From here on out, we'll message any per-region changes to impacted regions only, unless we've got global updates to share.
Objective Bounties
  • New Effect: The team that is sufficiently behind can now receive objective bounties, calculated based on their experience and gold deficit as well as how many more Dragons Dragons and Turret icon turrets the opposing team has secured. The bounties activate 15 seconds after the team falls below the threshold and deactivate the same time after they rise above it, which extends if the team is in-combat with an objective that has an active bounty. They are highlighted on the minimap and the tab menu for both teams. When an objective bounty is claimed, the bounty's gold Gold gold is distributed evenly among all team members. The bounty's value can increase by up to 60% as a team falls further behind. Objective bounties can activate on the following objectives:

    • Cooldown: 25 seconds.
  • Old Effect:
    • Glacial Augment: Basic attacks on-hit Slow icon slow enemy champions by (Melee role 45% − 55% / Ranged role 30% − 40%) (based on level) for 2 seconds, which increases in effectiveness over the duration. This effect cannot occur on the same target more than once every few seconds.
      • Cooldown: 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 (based on level) (per target) seconds.
    • Freeze Ray: Slow icon Slowing an enemy champion with an item active creates a 600-unit frozen line in their direction for 5 seconds, Slow icon slowing all enemies within by 60%. The Freeze Ray can fire upon any number of champions concurrently, and has no cooldown.
First Strike First Strike - New keystone rune
  • Replaces Prototype: Omnistone Prototype: Omnistone.
  • Inspiration icon Inspiration Keystone rune.
    • Passive: Dealing damage or applying a Stun icon crowd control effect to an enemy champion within the first 0.25 seconds of champion combat, grants 5 Gold 5 and First Strike for 3 seconds, causing all of your post-mitigation damage dealt against champions to deal 10% bonus true damage. Afterwards, you are granted (Melee role 100% / Ranged role 70%) of all bonus damage dealt within the duration as gold.
      • First Strike will be placed on cooldown after being struck by an enemy champion before you strike them.
    • Cooldown: 25 − 15 (based on level) seconds.
Lethal Tempo Lethal Tempo
  • New Effect:
    • Basic attacks on-attack against enemy champions grant a stack for 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Gain (Melee role 15% / Ranged role 5%) bonus attack speed for each stack, up to (Melee role 90% / Ranged role 30%) bonus attack speed at maximum stacks. At maximum stacks, gain (Melee role 50 / Ranged role 100) bonus attack range and increase the attack speed cap to 10. Stacks decay by 1 every 0.5 seconds upon expiring.
    • Cooldown: None.
  • Old Effect:
    • After 1.5 seconds upon damaging an enemy champion you gain 40% − 110% (based on level) bonus attack speed and your attack speed cap is increased for 3 seconds. Attacking a champion while the effect is active extends the duration to 6 seconds.
    • Cooldown: 6 seconds, starts after the effect ends.

Elemental Dragons

    • When the map transforms into the Chemtech Rift, summons foggy zones within each jungle quadrant. Units within these zones are empowered by Chemtech Fog buff Chemtech Fog, which grants them Ambush 2 camouflage if they haven't declared an attack, casted an ability, or Channeling icon channeled within the last 1.5 seconds, and up to 10% increased damage against enemies with 340 − 1020 (based on target's level) greater current health than them.
      • Units cannot gain the camouflage while channeling.
  • Hextech Drake Hextech Drake - New Elemental Drake
    • When the map transforms into the Hextech Rift, summons pairs of Hex-gate icon hex-gates within both team's bases and each jungle quadrant. Hex-gates can be interacted with by champions to Channeling icon channel for 0.75 seconds. Upon completion, they Flash blink to the other side of the gate but become Hallucinate vanished for 2.25 seconds. Pairs of hex-gates have a 30-second cooldown after being activated.
      • The channel can be interrupted by taking damage, performing another action, as well as becoming Grounded icon grounded. If this occurs, the hex-gate is placed on a 1.5-second cooldown.
      • The channel cannot be started while unable to cast abilities or Grounded icon grounded.
      • The blink location can be chosen a slight distance away from the gate, otherwise the blink location is always at the gate.
        • This location cannot be over terrain.
      • The gates that lead from the hex-gates within each team's base cannot be interacted with.

  • Hextech Dragon Soul Hextech Dragon Soul - New Dragon Soul
    • Damaging an enemy with an attack or ability causes them to be struck with lightning, dealing 25 − 75 (based on level) bonus true damage and Slow icon slowing them by (Melee role 45% / Ranged role 35%) (+ 3% per 100 bonus AD) (+ 1% per 100 AP) (+ 0.5% per 100 bonus health) decaying over 2 seconds, while chaining the effect to up to 3 enemies (8 second cooldown).
      • The slow can stack from multiple sources, and the decay rate is decreased against Ranged role ranged champions.

  • Bug Fix: Clicking the "Confirm" button upon selecting an Ult-ernate Summoner Spell will now play an SFX.

  • Removed: No longer uses the Ruined Summoner's Rift map.
Dragons
  • Removed: No longer uses the Ruined Dragon. A dragon of only one type will spawn once every 3:30 minutes.
  • New Effect: The first 2 dragons will now be random. The elemental rift will either be the Chemtech Rift Chemtech Rift or Hextech Rift Hextech Rift and the final dragons will either be the Chemtech Drake Chemtech Drake or Hextech Drake Hextech Drake.
  • New Effect: Slaying epic monsters now grants a buff that deals 0.3% maximum health magic damage once every second against turrets whenever you damage them.
Summoner spells
  • Junglers now have Auto-Smite instead of Placeholder Ult-ernate Summoner Spell in champion select. Auto-Smite gets replaced by the Ult-ernate that they select at the beginning of the game, granting a buff that is also called Auto-Smite.

  • Obsidian Edge Obsidian Edge - New item
    • Replaces Emberknife Emberknife and Hailblade Hailblade.

    • Stats: 8% omnivamp against monsters
    • Unique Passive - Sear: Damaging monsters burns them for 60 (+ 30% AP) (+ 5% bonus AD) (+ 2% bonus health) magic damage over 5 seconds. Omnivamp against monsters provided by this item is not reduced by area of effect damage.
    • Unique Passive - Auto Path: Triggering Auto Smite 5 times consumes this item, granting all of the item's effects permanently as well as increasing the threshold and damage to 900.
    • Unique Passive - Huntsman: Killing large monsters grants 60 bonus experience. The first large monster killed grants an additional 150 bonus experience, for a total of 210. If you are at least 2 levels below the average level of the game, large monster kills grant 50 bonus experience per level below the average level of all players in the game. If your gold from minions is greater than 40% your gold from monsters, a lane minion will grant 13 less gold and 50% reduced experience. This penalty is removed at 20 minutes.
    • Recoup: Regenerate up to 8 − 18 (based on level) mana per second when in the jungle or river, based on missing mana.
