Custom Champion - Ferox the Deathless Prince (2013)

Ferox has received a complete relaunch. For the new version, see Fer'Rox the Void Ravager.

This champion was originally created to be one of the five Darkin, and I was in the process of modernizing when Kayn was teased. With the revelation of Varus and Rhaast, I've become hooked on the idea that the Darkin represent the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (the Sword, the Bow, the Scythe and...). As such, this character is now retired and the reworked kit has been rebranded.

Ferox's basic attacks grant him bonus attack speed equal to 10% of the physical damage dealt for 4 seconds. Striking champions will cause this effect to stack.

Targeting input

The bonus attack speed stacks up to the hard cap on attack speed, which is 2.5. For existing melee carries, this takes between 220-240% attack speed at level 18. This may sound obscene, but it requires dealing 2200-2400 physical damage (after damage reduction). Attacks against non-champions will refresh the current bonus (only updating it if the attack would provide more attack speed). As such, it is possible to ramp up the attack speed on champions and then maintain it against minions. Alternatively, like Fiora's Duelist, attacking minions and structures while Havoc is stacked will not refresh the duration. Havoc scales with critical strike. As currently described, it would also scale with Blade of the Ruined King and spellblade. However, this could be overpowered and thus "10% of his attack damage (scales with critical strike)" might be more appropriate.

If Ferox hits 5 enemy champions, he will gain 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 bonus attack damage for 6 seconds. This is the strongest attack damage steroid among melee carries. The second strongest is 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 on Sion. This strongest attack damage steroids regardless of class are 300 from Fury of the Sands and +40% from Brutal Strikes. The attack damage reduction against an enemy will not stack.
