Poppys viability in the current meta and her status in the PBE.

Hello summoners, as u can see this is my first blog post ever so bear with me if i do any mistakes. But i did read the blog policy just in case.

Anyway, lets just get to the point. Im a huge fan of Poppy and i fell in love with her the first time i played her about 2 years ago. Shes my main now and I find her most comfortable at top and occasionally jungle and personally i think she fares quite well againts AD fighters and bursty assasins with the exception againts heroes like Darius and Olaf. 

However, she a hero often labeled as 'weak' and 'unviable' and commonly seen as a troll champion. What i really dont get is why is she labeled as such when i think she really is just fine.Her unpredictability, her ability to dive towers and not to mention her lategame potential makes her a monster especially in teamfights. She posseses high risk high reward gamestyle especially if u make use of the innate passive well. When dueling especially at early levels, people often misjudge her HP as they always thought that they can take her out with a final burst at low HP. 

Apart from her weak early game, why isnt she being used much in competetive gameplay. Even Riot admits that shes actually overpowered and they will almost definitely nerf her is she sees more gametime. If thats the case then i really dont mind her getting a rework although i still wish they would still keep her identity.

So, the question is it worth playing her in ranked despite peoples conception with poppy or should i just really wait for riots next update for poppy?
