    • Players dislike her Oathsworn mechanic. Forcing Kalista to choose once ruins the playmaking potential of Fate's Call, since she is shoe-horned into choosing her lane parter - no amount of throwing Skarner OriginalSquare Skarner late game is worth the cost to her early game of binding to him.
    • I dislike the lack of an enacting vengeance in her kit. She's the third champion to be themed around vengeance, after Brand OriginalSquare The Burning Vengeance and Varus OriginalSquare The Arrow of Retribution, and yet it's Garen OriginalSquare Garen of all people who actually punishes transgressions.

      • Kalista's reticle is faded and is only meant to indicate intent.
      • There is a significant screen overlay, similar to Fear Beyond Death Fear Beyond Death, to improve communication to the potentially AFK ally.
    • New The thrown ally is revived for 10 seconds, enabling them to seek vengeance. The target is revived with 100% of their maximum health and mana/energy.
      • Yorick doesn't need this ultimate any more.
      • Children of the Grave Children of the Grave and Fate's Call Fate's Call share the same resource - i.e. the souls. If Kalista revives her ally, Mordekaiser cannot revive them until after they fall once more. Likewise, if Mordekaiser enslaves them, Kalista cannot call upon them. I've retired my Mordekaiser rework in light of Riot's VGU.

      • For Reference: Xerath deals magic damage to an enemy and marks them with Unstable Magic for 3 seconds. Unstable Magic will trigger if a marked enemy is hit by one of Xerath's spells, stunning them for 1.5 seconds.
      • Renamed Mage Chains.
      • Possible VFX Change: Xerath casts out a chain that binds with the target enemy.
    • Rite of the Arcane: Both the initial damage and the stun now affect a 200-radius area around the target. The area is telegraphed.

  • Rite of the Arcane Rite of the Arcane (R) New
    • Active: Xerath channels for 1 second as he works to suppress his restraints, then unleashes his true power. While in this form, Xerath's abilities are modified, are free to cast, the effect of cooldown reduction is doubled, but is immobile, immovable and cannot attack. Rite of the Arcane's duration is represented as a secondary health bar with health equal to 100 / 150 / 200% of his maximum mana that depletes steadily over 15 seconds, and he can be damaged to reduce the remaining time. Damage in excess of Rite of the Arcane's current health is not carried over to Xerath when the effect ends.

While active, movement and attack commends will control the Maiden's movement (instead of Yorick's) and there is no limit on how far she can move from Yorick. Reactivate the ability to cancel.

    • New Satchel Charge will now scatter Hexplosive Mines hit by the explosion, hitting enemies they fly through. Mines are always knocked 400 units. Mines scattered could explode on impact with the ground - i.e. wasting them if they do not hit an enemy. This would be depending on whether the play here is dealing instantaneous area damage or increasing the area of control.
