This is the first ever multiplayer co-op lab. The player can either play with friends or match with someone online. Both player choose one of three champions which then creates the deck for them to play. They both work together against an AI using a mono- Noxus deck. This lab was made available in patch 2.0.
Description[]
"It's time for an experiment in cooperation! Join forces with another player to repel a Noxian invasion"
You can partner with a random ally or recruit a friend using Friend Challenge. One person being responsible for the attacking rounds, and the other for the defending rounds. At the start of the match, each player will select from one of three premade decks based on the selected champion. You and your ally will share a board , nexus, and any units or landmarks summoned. The decks and hand, however, are completely separate. Each round, players will switch roles, with one player acting and the other observing. The acting player will gain special cards to aid them or send cards to their allies. The AI will also gain special cards and a leveled version of either 6Darius, 3Draven, or 5Swain as the game progresses. Both the players and the AI start out with a nexus health of 30.

Special Cards[]
The active player will receive 1-2 fleeting spells at the start of the round:
- 0 Innervating Gift
- 0 Inspiring Gift
- 0 Nourishing Gift
- 0 Hastening Gift
- 0 Restoration
- 0 Embolden
- 0 Protection
The active player is guaranteed to gain exactly one "Gift" card with which to send a card to the other player.
The AI will have a fleeting 1 Warband Recruit added to its hand each round. In addition, it will gain powerful slow spells depending on which champion it's chosen.
Strategy[]
- The players will always have the attack token on round 1.
- The AI will summon their chosen champion leveled-up at the beginning of round 4. Its deck will also change to match the champion.
- The AI will gain its champion's highest cost lab spell at round 8, and will continue to gain generate lab spells in hand every 4 rounds. These, unlike Warband Recruit, won't be fleeting. Usually they are played directly in round 8, except for Swain's 9 Tactical Prowess, which is played in round 9 (when the players have the attack token).
- Warband Recruit allows the AI to summon a large amount of aggressive units on the board for very cheap. It's therefore important to ensure you have a large number of blockers and/or removal tools to handle them.
- 5Lee Sin, 1Zoe, and 5Vi are easy to level up due to the additional spells from the lab mode.
- 5Garen and 5Trundle can block both leveled-up 3Draven and 5Swain and survive longer due to their regeneration effect. Note that the 5-cost champions need to have their cost reduced by 1 (with 0 Hastening Gift), but then they are good blockers on turn 4.
- There is no 4-cost or 5-cost card that can block 6Darius (and survive), for that case, a Stun, Barrier, Frostbite or other combat trick should be saved.
Notes[]
- Each player always starts with at least one champion in their hand, however that card can be swapped in the mulligan if desired.
- The AI will continue to keep playing if out of cards, i.e. no "Deck Out" occurs. If the game reaches round 40, it ends in a tie.
- Effects applied to the hand or deck by another card only apply to the active player.
- "You", in terms of card effects and triggers, refers to both players. For example, 2 Claws of the Dragon can be summoned from either player's hand regardless of which one cast two spells in the same round.
- However, since the player's hands and decks are considered separate, effects that trigger based on a player's hand (such as Behold) or on the player's deck (such as Allegiance) will only work based on the active player. The same is true for Everywhere effects.
- Nexus effects, such as 1Zoe's level up effect, apply to both players.
Pings[]
In addition to standard emotes, the player can use emotes exclusive to the United Front lab called "pings". These pings can't be changed, and are meant to convey intent to the allied player.
