Ultimate Spellbook

Ultimate Spellbook is a Featured Game Mode in League of Legends. Played on Summoner's Rift, players each choose between 1 of 3 random ultimates to replace one of their summoner spells.

Features

Ultimate spell selection UI

• Players will queue up in a blind pick style champion select.
• You will be given 30 seconds to choose from a pool of 3 ultimates.
• The ultimate you pick takes the place of your Ultimate Placeholder for the rest of the game, and you can't change it. You can use your Ult-ernate Summoner Spell after its initial 135 second cooldown, even before hitting level 6.
  • You can still rank up your own ultimate.
• All players have 70 summoner spell haste.
• You can see everyone’s chosen Ult-ernate Summoner Spells on both the scoreboard and next to their healthbar.
• You start at level 3 and with 950.
• Passive XP and gold are increased and you share minion gold with teammates in lane.
• A dragon of only one type will spawn once every 3:30 minutes.
  • Dragon Slayer grants a buff that deals 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 / 2% (based on stacks) of target's maximum health magic damage once every second against turrets whenever you deal damage to them.
  • Slaying 4 dragons grants the Dragon Soul:
    • Upon taking fatal damage, enter resurrection for 1.5 seconds, during which you are invulnerable, untargetable, and unable to act, and afterwards restore all of your health and take continuous internalraw damage (300 second cooldown).
      • Guardian Angel and Chronoshift will take priority over this effect. Zombie state effects will not.
• Unsealed Spellbook is disabled in this mode.

Ultimates

• Chosen ultimates have modified scalings in this mode:
  • Ultimates that only scale with AP now also scale with AD.
  • Ultimates that only scale with AD now also scale with AP.
  • Ultimates that only scale with health now also scale with AD and AP.
  • Ultimates that do not scale with anything will continue to scale with nothing.
• Ult-ernate Summoner Spells default have 35 ability haste and will scale with 80% of its regular ratios, but haste and ratios vary depending on the balance state of the spell in the mode.
• Ult-ernate Summoner Spells level up as your Champion’s personal ultimate levels up to rank 2 and 3 at levels 11 and 13 and benefit from Summoner Spell haste.
• Your chosen champion's ultimate will not be available in the pool of ultimates.

Trivia

• Ultimate Spellbook uses Mordekaiser's old dragon from Children of the Grave instead of elemental dragons.
