True Ice is a magical ice that could only be created by the Yeti and the magic given to them by 
Anivia. A very rare mineral, it is so cold that it can never be melted. Only those known as Iceborn are able to manipulate said mineral. A variant of True Ice that was corrupted by The Void exists in the form of Dark Ice.

True ice can be cut, shaped, and sculpted-- but not easily, and few have the skills and tools to do the work anymore. Master smiths, those few men that are favored by 
Ornn, have managed to craft this strange substance into powerful weapons and armor. Only Iceborn warriors can stand its freezing touch and may wield it in battle. It serves as a powerful multiplier for their power. Non-Iceborn may die from contact with True Ice. True Ice's crystalline structure seemingly can change, owing to in-universe thermochemical processes, producing various allotropes to make different weapons: from Avarosa's elastic bow to Trundle's rigid club; much like real-life carbon, whose two best-known allotropes are the soft graphite and the hard & brittle diamond. It's more common for an Iceborn to attach a tiny shard to a weapon.
True Ice seemingly can perform magic related to the form or tool it has been shaped. For example, 
Ashe's bow can magically create ice arrows out of thin air, while 
Braum's shield generates tall walls of ice to protect those he shelters.
Dark Ice is created when the corruption stemmed from the Watchers stains the power of the True Ice into some terrible. Inky-veined and heavy with elemental power, for the average Freljordians it is known to have better healing and regeneration powers. A person wielding it can even give warmbloods around them better stamina and strength, closer to that of an Iceborn. Though foul beyond mortal description, the ice carries great cultural value for those who know its origin. Powerful enough sorcerers like 
Lissandra are able to control Dark Ice at will.

- Ashe's True Ice Bow: Found by Ashe at Ghulfrost, she proclaims it to be the very bow that Avarosa used millennia ago. Its magic the form of arrows and a falcon spirit.
- Braum's Ram Door:: A magical item enchanted by Ornn himself. The magic takes takes the form of a ram. From the face of the door it can create a solid wall of ice, able to withstand an avalanche (if the user behind holding the door is strong enough to hold onto the door). When it impacts with the ground with enough force it can create a row of ice spikes that can launch an opponent in the air or possibly slow them down. Legends suggest that it was built to be a door for a troll's treasure vault, but was later repurposed by Braum as an defensive and offensive weapon after he saved a troll boy from an avalanche.
- Trundle'S Boneshiver: A magical club offered to Trundle by Lissandra, its true origin is unknown. Like any club, Trundle would use it to smash his opponents with. However, the club has the ability to create pillars of ice from long distances, which are able to launch opponents in the air and slow them down.
- Nunu's Svellsongur: Nunu's flute was repaired by Willump using True Ice.
- Sejuani's Armguard: Known also as the Seeker's Armguard, it is wrist armor fashioned with a true ice shard. Currently in possession of Sejuani, it originally belonged to Lissandra in the past.
- Sejuani's Flail and Bola: Made from a large shard of true ice, Sejuani uses it as her primary weapon during battles. Its able to freeze opponent with ease and while frozen it is also able to shatter them into pieces with enough force.

Trivia[]
- No ordinary human has been shown to use and manipulate True Ice, as contacting it can be lethal for those individuals.
- In The Shackles of Belief, Sylas is unable to wield a True Ice weapon, however, he could channel its power through the Iceborn Brokvar who wielded it, giving him the ability to control ice.
- While Nunu is not an Iceborn, because he is the "Heart of the Blue", he could be able to resist the minerals negative effects.
