How should this section be regulated?
Most of them are arguably kept in good condition, even recently updated champions seem to have optimal info, and especially the popular champions have the healthiest pages... But while fixing the messes that were the Master Yi and Sona pages, I noticed some things that we should probably be trying to edit out and revise.
Some of the "advice" draws you out of the meta and straight into potential unviability while also sometimes managing to concede to the idea that it's not a good idea. (Exs: Master Yi and Nashor's Tooth. Sona and Guinsoo's Rageblade. Muramana most every time it's mentioned.)
Many mentions of "back then" are made, even if the knowledge gained from "back then" is obsolete. (Exs: Master Yi's was chock full of it. Sona had it here and there. Ahri has it.)
Are we attempting to write this like a guide off of a site like LoLKing and MOBAFire? (Exs: Anivia's page has a Pros/Cons. Ahri's looks like it's trying to persuade you.)
I ask the above because a lot of the things that can be written as "viable strategy" can be done so subjectively. Syndra has a point of mention for Manamune where it actually presents evidence as to why it can be used effectively, but there's still a seed of doubt as to the practicallity of it.
There also needs to be some guideline/template for what should be written and where. A lot of pages don't have a "general gameplay" section and several don't have sectioned playstyles for the respective topic. (Exs: Master Yi can be played Top, Jungle, and Mid, but mention of respective strategies are unorganized. Fiddlesticks, Swain, Brand, etc. can be used in multiple lanes, but we don't present that properly.)
So how does everyone think we should standardize the strategy section for champions?
What should we include and exclude when it comes to considering "viability"?
I think there should an intro section to the respective playstyles and general gampelay methods depending on the phase of the game, then we go through skills (including skill orders), spells, runes, masteries, items, and finally counters with its own set of playstyles, then champions, then builds. I don't like it when past strategies are even mentioned, and if the point provided is not presented as fully viable for any situation, it probably shouldn't be there at all.
