Nearsight
A unit that is nearsighted has their Sight icon sight radius reduced and loses their allied and other external vision (i.e. their ability to see what their allies see; Warding Totem item wards; abilities that grant vision); Stealth Ward icon unobstructed vision). In addition, being nearsighted will prevent Shen OriginalSquare Shen and Galio OriginalSquare Galio from casting their ultimates (Stand United Stand United and Hero's Entrance Hero's Entrance) using the portrait icons - requiring them to have personal vision of their target. True Sight icon True sight does not infiltrate nearsight.

The following abilities apply nearsight:

Interrupts: Interrupts attack commands if the nearsighted unit's target is outside of the target's new vision area and prevents Acquisition range automated target acquisition.
Reduction: The duration is not reduced by crowd control reduction (Tenacity icon Tenacity).
Resist: PENDING FOR TEST Resisted by Cc-immune icon Crowd control immunity (Smoke Screen Smoke Screen cannot be resisted).
Removal: The effect is removed by Quicksilver Sash item Quicksilver and Alistar OriginalSquare Alistar's Unbreakable Will Unbreakable Will.

Most crowd control effects are applied by attacks or spells that can be blocked with Spell Shield Spell Shields.

All tip data templates use the same parameter.

Retrieval of data items

{{data Nearsight|pst2|interrupts}}, using parameter selection template Template:Pst2, gives the parameter interrupts, etc.

For retrieval of more data items it is more efficient to prepare a template for that, to be used as follows:

{{data Nearsight|template name|..|..|..|..}}

so that this data template needs to be called only once.[1] The default template is Template:Tip data, producing this page.

The four parameters are optional, they are passed on to the prepared template as parameters 2-5.

A parameter being undefined or empty typically means the same, see below. {{data ..|pst2|..}} gives the empty string and the text "{{{..}}}", respectively. Therefore, an application checking the parameter has to check both. Checking whether a result is equal to e.g. the text "{{{popinc}}}" cannot be done directly with #ifeq in a template which itself has also a parameter with that name, because if that is defined, there would be a comparison with the value instead of the text itself. Instead, it can be checked whether the first character of the result is "{", e.g.: {{#ifeq:{{padleft:|1|{{data {{{continent}}}|pst2|popinc}}}}|{|..|..}}. Until here the documentation is automatically generated by Template:Tip data.
