Charm icon
Charm
A unit that is charmed will walk toward the Source (the unit that casted the Charm spell) for the duration, during which time they cannot control their own movement or attacks, and cannot cast abilities, activate items or use the Summoner spell icon summoner spells Flash Flash and Teleport Teleport. All charms also apply a Slow icon slow.

The strength of the Slow icon slow that accompanies Charm depends on the spell:

Interrupts: Interrupts all channeled and charged abilities, as well as Anivia OriginalSquare Anivia's Glacial Storm Glacial Storm. It will also interrupt Rakan OriginalSquare Rakan's Grand Entrance Grand Entrance and Battle Dance Battle Dance, Yasuo OriginalSquare Yasuo's Sweeping Blade Sweeping Blade and prevent Gnar OriginalSquare Gnar's Hop Hop from bouncing.
Reduction: The duration is reduced by Tenacity icon Tenacity. The Slow icon slow is also weakened by Slow resist.
Resist: Resisted by Cc-immune icon crowd control immunity. Unstoppable icon Unstoppable dashes will ignore the effect for the duration of the unstoppability, but the target will be affected afterwards if the disable duration permits. The slow is also resisted by Slow immunity.
Removal: Removed by Remove Scurvy Cleanses or when the Source dies.

Most crowd control effects are applied by attacks or spells that can be blocked with Spell Shield Spell Shields.

All tip data templates use the same parameter.

Retrieval of data items

{{data Charm|pst2|interrupts}}, using parameter selection template Template:Pst2, gives the parameter interrupts, etc.

For retrieval of more data items it is more efficient to prepare a template for that, to be used as follows:

{{data Charm|template name|..|..|..|..}}

so that this data template needs to be called only once.[1] The default template is Template:Tip data, producing this page.

The four parameters are optional, they are passed on to the prepared template as parameters 2-5.

A parameter being undefined or empty typically means the same, see below. {{data ..|pst2|..}} gives the empty string and the text "{{{..}}}", respectively. Therefore, an application checking the parameter has to check both. Checking whether a result is equal to e.g. the text "{{{popinc}}}" cannot be done directly with #ifeq in a template which itself has also a parameter with that name, because if that is defined, there would be a comparison with the value instead of the text itself. Instead, it can be checked whether the first character of the result is "{", e.g.: {{#ifeq:{{padleft:|1|{{data {{{continent}}}|pst2|popinc}}}}|{|..|..}}. Until here the documentation is automatically generated by Template:Tip data.
