The Glacial trait contains champions that come from Freljord profileicon Freljord. Glacial champions get the ability to Stun icon stun on-hit when their synergy is active. Glacial represents a wide variety of play styles, from defensive champions like SejuaniSquare Sejuani to offensive champions like AniviaSquare Anivia, this makes for a well balanced strong team.

Strategy

  • LissandraSquare Lissandra and AniviaSquare Anivia are also Elementalist TFT icon Elementalists, making it easy to activate the synergy with a KennenSquare Kennen or BrandSquare Brand.
  • Stacking enough attack speed, especially on AsheSquare Ashe, can allow a Glacial champion to Stun icon stun a single target potentially forever.

Items

  • Since the Glacial synergy relies on hitting the enemy champions, attack speed items like Guinsoo's Rageblade item Guinsoo's Rageblade or survival items like Warmog's Armor item Warmog's Armor can ensure the glacial champions can Stun icon stun the enemy.
  • Units that are Stun icon stunned can still gain mana from taking damage, and will immediately use their special ability if given a chance. This makes magic resistance items worthwhile for the Glacial synergy, like Dragon's Claw item Dragon's Claw, Hush item Hush, or Ionic Spark item Ionic Spark.
  • Along with the on-hit Stun icon stun effect Glacial provides, three of the glacial champions' special ability Stun icon stun targets. Giving mana items like Seraph's Embrace item Seraph's Embrace or Spear of Shojin item Spear of Shojin to these three champions will increase the time the opposing army spends Stun icon stunned.
  • This trait has the added benefit of Frozen Mallet item Frozen Mallet being able to turn any champion into a glacial. Good choices for this are high attack speed champions like Ranger TFT icon Rangers or Blademaster TFT icon Blademasters.

Counters

  • A Glacial team will Stun icon stunned the first line of champion, but the synergie don't give bonus of dommage or resistance, so Glacial is weak against team with a solid frontline and most of the damages coming from the backline.
    • Guardian TFT icon Guardian are very defense-orientated champion, making a good frontline that don't loose lot of efficiency by being unable to attaque.
    • Miss Fortune CaptainFortuneSquare Miss Fortune, JinxSquare Jinx, Draven GladiatorSquare Draven, KarthusSquare Karthus and Aurelion SolSquare Aurelion Sol are backlane champions that can be the main source of damage in a team.
  • If a tanky frontline champion can draw their attention, Assassin TFT icon Assassins can take the glacial champions out without worrying about the Stun icon stun.
  • EvelynnSquare Evelynn, LissandraSquare Lissandra, Pantheon DragonslayerSquare Pantheon, Rek'SaiSquare Rek'Sai, and RengarSquare Rengar have abilities that temporarily makes them untargetable. After using their special ability, they have opportunity to attack without being interrupted.
  • Twisted Fate CutpurseSquare Twisted Fate's blue card can let Stun icon stunned allies gain mana, so those champions can use their special abilities in the moments they aren't stunned.
  • Several champions, like KennenSquare Kennen, MorganaSquare Morgana, SwainSquare Swain and others, have special abilities that continue after being Stun icon stunned.
  • A champion holding a Guardian Angel item Guardian Angel will lose all aggro on them while being revived.
  • Frozen Heart item Frozen Heart and Sword Breaker item Sword Breaker will slow down how fast the Glacial enemies attack, and in turn Stun icon stun allies.
