Tales of Runeterra are a group of animated short videos released in 2020 and 2021. Their primary purpose is to expand upon the lore of League of Legends, exploring different characters and locations, as well as promote the card game Legends of Runeterra and the mobile game League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Tales of Runeterra is Riot Games Inc. first official short video compilation for League of Legends intellectual property outside of Workshop videos.
The project was revealed during the League of Legends 10th Anniversary streams.
- A Teaser clip of the Ionian cinematic featuring Akali and Shen fighting a monster had appeared during the camera panning inside Riot HQ development area.
Jayce was supposed to make an appearance in True Genius but was scrapped.^[1]
