A spell card with Focus speed.

Focus is a spell speed in Legends of Runeterra.

EditFocus spells resolve instantaneously after being committed.

They can be committed so long as combat isn't happening and there is no spells on the Stack. They are added to the stack, but resolve instantaneously during the turn they are committed, so functionally aren't. They commit as soon as any required targets/choices are declared.

Trivia

• Internally, this is called Channel.
  • A temporary name in development was Slurst, as combination of Slow and Burst (As is its function, having the play rules of Slow, and resolving at the same speed as Burst.
• This is the first spell speed to be introduced to the game post-release.
• Players and Developers alike referred to Focus as "Gemspeed", in reference to 1 Gems.
  • 1 Gem, along with Blade Fragments, 1 Help, Pix!, and 1 Sanctuary, were Burst spells with the clause "Can't be cast in combat or in response to a spell." at the end of their text, before Focus speed was added to the game.
