Notes

• Spear of Shojin does not activate Awakened Dragon on champions that can shapeshift with their ultimate since level 1 (e.g. Elise, Jayce, Nidalee and Udyr).
  • This does not include Karma, who can use Awakened Dragon as normal.
• When Awakened Dragon is granted it also triggers the cooldown reduction once.
• Awakened Dragon will reduce the cooldown of abilities that grant empowered basic attacks (i.e Siphoning Strike, Empower) when using said basic attacks.

Trivia

• This item is a reference to the Shojin Monastery and the Shojin Order of Ionia.
• Awakened Dragon might be a reference to Lee Sin since he has the ability to channel the "dragon’s spirit" and he arrived at the Shojin Monastery at a young age.
• Spear of Shojin was first introduced on the PBE for the patch V8.12, but was delayed multiple times, until it was released with Nexus Blitz.
• The Awakened Dragon passive was previously on Essence Reaver before patch V9.3.

V9.3 - Re-added

• New Recipe: B. F. Sword + Kindlegem + Long Sword + 950 = 3400.
  • Old Recipe: B. F. Sword + Kindlegem + 800 = 2900.
• Now available on all maps.
• New Stats:
  • 60 attack damage, 20% cooldown reduction, 250 health.
  • Unique Passive: After casting your ultimate, your next basic attack on-attack within 10 seconds grants Awakened Dragon for 6 seconds (30 second cooldown).
  • Unique Passive - Awakened Dragon: Gain 50% bonus attack speed, and basic attacks refund 20% of your remaining basic abilities cooldowns on-attack.
• Old Stats:
  • 60 attack damage, 10% cooldown reduction, 200 health.
  • Unique Passive: Reduces damage from champion attacks and abilities by 20 (+ 10% bonus AD), capped at 70.
  • Unique Passive: While within 500-units of at least 3 enemy champions, basic attack to gain Dragon Heart (90 second cooldown).
  • Unique Passive - Dragon Heart: For 6 seconds, blocks 200% more damage, for a total of 60 (+ 30% bonus AD). The duration refreshes on takedowns.

• Availability: Nexus Blitz.
• Recipe: B. F. Sword + Kindlegem + 800 = 2900.
• Stats: 60 attack damage, 200 health, 10% cooldown reduction.
• Unique Passive: Reduces damage from champion attacks and abilities by 20 (+ 10% bonus AD), capped at 70.
  • The flat damage reduction occurs before armor and magic resistance is applied. It is as 30% as effective against damage over time.
• Unique Passive: While within 500-units of at least 3 enemy champions, basic attack to gain Dragon Heart (90 second cooldown).
• Dragon Heart: For 6 seconds, blocks 200% more damage, for a total of 60 (+ 30% bonus AD). The duration refreshes on takedowns.
