The settings for League of Legends is the menu where the hotkey, graphic, sound, interface, and game features can be adjusted. The in-game settings can be accessed during gameplay as well as from the Client.

Definitions[]
Abilities, summoner spells and items including the trinket can be cast in different modes.
- Normal Cast: Upon using the key, the range/effect indicators of the spell are shown before casting, and the player must input a click to confirm the spell's direction/location.
- Quick Cast: Upon using the key, the spell is instantly cast toward/at the cursor's location.
- Quick Cast with Indicator: The player can hold the key to show the spell's indicator, move the mouse in the direction/location as desired, and then release the key to confirm and cast it.

- Quickbind UI
- The first section is dedicated to the "quickbind UI", where the player can choose their preferred casting mode for each spell. The button below each key represents the toggle between Normal cast (greyed out) and Quick cast (highlighted).
- Quick Cast with Indicator
- Replace Quick Cast with Quick Cast with Indicator in the quickbind UI: All spells configured to Quick cast, will use Quick cast with Indicator instead.
- Cast the pressed spell upon pressing another spell: Buffers a spell to cast during another spell's cast, if applicable.
- Additional Hotkeys
- All other hotkeys currently available can be configured in this section. Most notably, the player can choose to create additional hotkeys for casting a spell using Normal cast or Quick cast specifically, bypassing their Quickbind settings.
- Advanced Keybinding Options
- Bind auto attack move to left click: When enabled, attack-move commands will require selecting by left clicking ( MB1). When disabled, the player can choose other keys including mouse keys to bind for confirming an attack-move, through the respective setting (Additional Hotkeys -> Player Movement -> Player Attack Move).

- Resolution: Configures the window's resolution. An asterisk

means native resolution. The availability of different resolution depends on monitor, operating system, and their configuration. - Window Mode: Set the window type for the game: Full Screen, Borderless, Windowed.
- Color blind mode: Red–green color blindness filter.
- Hide eye candy: Disables ambient and critter effects.
- Use relative team colors: Causes all allied minions and structures to appear blue and all enemy minions and structures to appear red regardless of the starting side.
- Enable screen shake: Allows the screen to shake during certain times in gameplay.
- Graphics
- Quality may be adjusted in a slider. The available options are Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
- Lowering the graphics both reduces the resolution of effects and models, and decreases the amount of non-gameplay-identifying visual effects and particles.
- Individual items can be adjusted manually. The slider will show graphics as "Custom" if the player configures any.
- Character Quality: Determines the quality of the character models; available values are Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
- Effects Quality: Determines the quality of visual effects; available values are Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
- Environment Quality: Determines the quality of the map's environment; available values are Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
- Shadow Quality: Determines the quality of shadows; available values are Off, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
- Advanced
- Frame Rate Cap: Caps the maximum frame rate of the game. Irrespective of device, the available options are 25 FPS, 30 FPS, 60 FPS, 80 FPS, 120 FPS, 144 FPS, 200 FPS, 240 FPS, and Uncapped.
- Anti-Aliasing: Enable or disable AA/anti-aliasing.
- Wait for Vertical Sync: Enable or disable VSync/vertical synchronization.
- Accessibility
- The following sliders can be adjusted in percentile values.
- Color Level: Adjusts the color intensity.
- Color Gamma: Adjusts the smoothness of black colors transitioning to white colors.
- Color Brightness: Adjusts the lightness or darkness of color hues.
- Color Contrast: Adjusts the amount of contrast between color hues.
Sound[]
Sound volume and theme settings.
- The following sliders can be adjusted in percentile values. On the right of each slider there is also a Mute/Unmute button that does not alter the slider's current amount.
- Master Volume: Volume of all sounds.
- Music Volume: Volume of the music theme.
- Announcer Volume: Volume of the announcer.
- Voice Volume: Volume of champion's voice-over quotes.
- Sound FX Volume: Volume of sound effects of any non-ambience unit, which includes champions, monsters, minions, plants, etc.
- Ambience Volume: Volume of background/ambient map and critter sounds.
- Pings Volume: Volume of gameplay pings.
- Disable All Sound: Turns off all sound from League of Legends.
- Theme Music: Currently, the two soundtrack packages available include the "Classic" package (prior to Season Five Summoner's Rift Update) and the "Updated" package.
Interface[]
Display elements and menus settings.
- Interface Size
- The following sliders can be adjusted in percentile values.
- HUD Scale: Scales the size of the champion's HUD/heads-up display.
- Cursor Scale: Scales the size of the cursor.
- Shop Scale: Scales the size of the shop menu.
- Chat Scale: Scales the text and window size of the chat window.
- Minimap Scale: Scales the size of the minimap.
- Objective Planning Scale: Scales the size of the objective vote pop-up.
- Death Recap Scale: Scales the size of the death recap pop-up.
- Practice Tool Scale: Scales the size of the Practice Tool menu.
- Health and Resource Bars
- Show Health Bars: Displays health bars for all units.
- Enable HUD Animations: Enables animations for the health and mana bars in the HUD.
- Show Loss of Control UI: Displays crowd control statuses above champion health bars.
- Show Health Bar animations: Displays the visual effects for incoming damage or incoming healing, as well as on-death shattering, for the on-screen health bars of units.
- Show Names Above Health Bar: Configure the setting for the text shown above champion health bars: None = only status may show; Summoner Name = show player name; Champion Name = show champion name.
- Notifications
- Screen flash on damage: Displays the red vignette at the edges the screen when the player takes damage.
- Screen flash on loss of control: Displays the white vignette at the edges of the screen when the player becomes affected by immobilizing crowd control.
- Champion highlight on camera center: Displays a highlight around the player's champion upon panning the camera back to themselves through either the Center Camera on Champion hotkey or the Select Self hotkey.
- Show Off-Screen Pings: Displays gameplay ping flashing at the edge of the screen.
- Legacy Cursor
- Enable legacy cursor: When enabled, the legacy/old cursor for League of Legends will be used. Note that the legacy cursor does not support upscaling.
- Tooltips
- Always show extended Tooltip info: When disabled, the player must hold the Shift key to display details about ability, item, etc. on their tooltips. When enabled, these details are shown by default.
- Ability and Attack Display
- Show Target Frame on attack: By default, a unit's Target Frame only opens upon selecting that unit. When this setting is enabled, issuing an attack against a unit will also open the Target Frame.
- Show Attack Range: Displays the champion's attack range when using Attack-move and when manually showing all player statistics panels on the HUD when using the Show Advanced Player Stats hotkey.
- Show Spell costs: Displays the mana or energy cost of the champion's abilities in the HUD.
- Enable Line Missile display: When disabled, missile ability indicators will only include their maximum radius around the player to indicate their maximum reach. When enabled, these abilities' indicators will display lines instead.
- Disable HUD spell click: Disables the use of spells by clicking them with the mouse on the HUD.
- Show Spell Recommendation: Flashes the recommended leveling up order of abilities for the champion on the button when a skill point is available.
- Ability Cooldown Display: Configures the time format of spell cooldowns: None (radial timer only), Seconds (sss), Minutes + Seconds (mm:ss), Minutes (no decimals or seconds).
- Minimap
- Show Neutral Camps: Displays the live and timer indicators for jungle camps on the minimap.
- Show Minimap on left: Changes the position of the minimap between left or right of the screen.
- Allow Minimap Movement: Allows movement commands to be inputted through the minimap.
- Scoreboard
- Mirror Scoreboard Layout: By default, the scoreboard displays each player's elements left-to-right. Enabling this option fully mirrors the scoreboard's layout between the two teams.
- Show Summoner Names: Displays player names in the scoreboard and above champion health bars on screen.
- Team Frames
- Show Team Frames on Left: When disabled, the team frames, or portraits of teammates (which display champion icon, health, resource, death timer, and ultimate ability availability) are displayed horizontally above the minimap. Enabling this option changes their position to the left of the screen and their layout to vertical.
- Chat
- Change Chat Visibility: Configure the scope of visibility and access to certain chat channels: Everyone (Party/Ally/All) is the highest visibility, then Same Team (Party/Ally), then Premade Only (Party)
- Show Timestamps: Displays game-time stamps before each message in the chat.
- Emotes
- Emote Bubble Display: Configure the scope of the emote bubble display, shown at the top left of the screen: Off, Mute Sound, On (with sound)
- Emote Size: Configure the size of emotes played above player models and the emote bubble display: Normal or Small.
- Mute Enemy Emotes: Automatically mutes enemy player emotes above their models.
- Combat Text
- Damage: Displays damage and impact text on the player dealing damage.
- Gold: Displays the text for when gold is earned.
- Quest: Displays the text for quests.
- Enemy Damage: Displays damage and impact text on the player taking damage.
- Level: Displays the text for indicating level ups.
- Score: Displays the text for achieving a score (this text has been deprecated).
- Heal: Displays the text for receiving a heal.
- Status: Displays the status text for loss of control above champion health bars.
- Mana: Displays the text for consuming mana.
- Dodge: Displays the text for when a champion dodges/evades/blocks.
- Special: Displays the text for other champion-specific effects and interactions.
- Experience: Displays the text for the player's champion receiving experience.
- Accessibility
- Display champion sound notification: Displays announcements of important/global abilities being used in the kill feed.
- Fist Bump
- Mute Fist Bumps: Disables fist bumps above ally player models, the chat announcement for one, and the reciprocity status next to their portraits.
Game[]
Any other general input- or control-related gameplay settings.
- Controls
- Mouse speed: Adjusts the speed of the mouse's tracking, on a percentile slider.
- Camera move speed (Mouse): Adjusts the speed at which the camera will move when the mouse tracks to an edge of the screen, on a percentile slider.
- Camera move speed (Keyboard): Adjusts the speed at which the camera will move when scrolled when keyboard hotkeys are used, on a percentile slider.
- Move camera on revive: Automatically moves the camera to the center of the player's champion when they respawn.
- Enable smooth camera: When disabled, changes in the camera position happen at a constant speed. When enabled, camera movement accelerates up to a point, thus becoming 'smoother'.
- Mouse button drag scroll: Enables or disables MMB/mouse scroll wheel click for camera movement and locking.
- Camera Lock Mode
- Camera Lock Mode: Configures the potential offset of the camera's position relative to the center of the screen when the camera is locked/selected on the player's champion:
- Per-Side Offset: For maps that include two opposite sides (blue and red side), the camera has a moderate offset from the center of the screen that is determined by their starting side.
- Fixed Offset: The center of the screen overlaps with the player's champion.
- Semi-Locked: Allows the camera to be moved while locked, up to an offset where the player's champion will still be visible.
- Gameplay
- Auto attack: Enables or disables auto-attacking.
- Show Turret range indicators (Coop vs AI): Displays the attack range of turrets, available only in Co-op vs. AI.
- Display recommended jungle path: Displays indicators on the minimap for the recommended pathing of your champion to clear camps in the jungle.
- Clamp cast target location within max range: When enabled, abilities targeted outside of their maximum cast range will always cast at their maximum possible range.
- Use movement prediction: Uses a network algorithm to smooth out movement inputs from the player while the connection is unstable or at high latency.
- Attack move on cursor: See this section on Attack move.
- Treat 'Target Champions Only' as a toggle: When disabled, the hotkey for Target Champions Only must be held down in order to activate the functionality. When enabled, Target Champions Only can be toggled on or off when the hotkey is clicked.
