    • In Latin America, she is voiced by Leslie Gil, who covered "MORE" in Spanish. In addition to providing vocals for Seraphine Seraphine, she also sang Ahri's Ahri's verses.
  • Her codenames were EllipsisMage and Idol.[1][2]
  • Seraphine's placeholder model in development was a recolored Syndra Syndra.[3]
  • Seraphine was inspired by Chinese culture, particularly Chinese-Americans. She has a fairer skintone that took inspiration from younger, teenage Chinese-American vloggers.[4]
  • Seraphine's abilities were datamined from Wild Rift icon Wild Rift Closed Beta 1, becoming the first instance of public information about the champion.[5]
  • She has some thematic overlap with Sona Sona; whereas Sona is supposed to represent the musical aura thematic, Seraphine is supposed to represent the rhythmic music theme.[6]
  • The gameplay goals for Seraphine were to create a mage that was both simple and allies would enjoy playing with.[7]
  • Her name is likely based on Hebrew Seraphim, a kind of angel in Judaism. This is the same origin as Seraph's Embrace Seraph's Embrace.
  • She was originally planned to be released in middle of 2020, but was held back to be released with KDA profileicon K/DA due being a thematically strong match.[8]
  • Seraphine's outfit was designed to stand out compared to the usual outfits from Piltover and Zaun, due to the costumes of real life pop stars at concerts being different from average street wear.[9]
  • K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie and Rising Star Rising Star were promoted as the official reveal of Seraphine before her classic appearance was revealed. Superstar was saved for her performance at 2020 World Championship.
    • Seraphine's Twitter account was ran by Riot writer Bethany Higa with the goal of creating an interactive story about a girl who pursues her dreams.[10]
  • A scrapped ability tested in development was mind control themed spell. She would channel on a single target and mesmerize them, allowing her to control their actions for a few seconds.[11]

  • Seraphine's magical hearing allows her to understand the brackerns' singing language, becoming the first person with the ability to hear them in hextech crystals. However, she's only capable to communicate with one in particular, her own crystal, as result of their deep connection over the years.[12] Her color story implies she's only able to hear it when Piltover and Zaun's songs are in harmony.
    • Despite being the first person to achieve this goal in universe, the first champion known to hear the brackern's soul song was Jayce Jayce.
    • Her biography got tweaked shortly after revealed due to player response to clear up doubts about her characterization. Some of her quotes, especially those about brackern and hextech lore, got some players confused about Seraphine's nature and were removed from her voiceover to avoid misleading connotations.[13] According to Riot Jag, Seraphine was never meant to know the true identity of the entity inside the crystals and these quotes were designed only for player immersion ingame.[14]
  • The song she performs in her color story is implied to be her own champion theme.[15]
    • Champion themes are what Sera would hear when near them, but whatever version she performs would be a fan cover, different from official themes. [16]
  • Stage Presence's Stage Presence's double cast represents a technological overcharge of her stage.[17]
  • Seraphine's spells are her sound and voice amplified, her basic attacks come from the sound waves of her fingers snapping.[18]
  • Seraphine is 17 in 996 AN, according to Riot Reav3.[19]
  • Seraphine has chromesthesia, a perceptual phenomenon in which auditory stimulation leads to visual experience, being able to see colors and shapes in sounds.
  • Seraphine's favorite flavor of ice cream is cotton candy.[20]

  • Her joke animation is a reference to Dance Dance Revolution.
  • Seraphine's Champion Spotlight on the League of Legends YouTube channel garnered the most dislikes for any Champion, with 138k (68%) dislikes before the platform made these numbers private (circa Nov 2021). However, it remained the third most liked spotlight behind Sett Sett and Yasuo Yasuo.
    • Her spotlight received the most dislikes in Korea, totaling around 93%.
  • Seraphine is the first champion to be simultaneously released in League of Legends icon League of Legends and Wild Rift icon Wild Rift.

  • Her appearance is a mixture of youthful Piltovan and Zaunite fashion, due to her spending time in both cities as a music performer.
    • She is seen performing on the Entresol level of Zaun in her splash art, with a crowd of Piltovan and Zaunite youth.
  • LoR Champion Indicator4Ekko's followers, LoR Non-Champion Non-Spell Indicator3 Practical Perfectionist and LoR Non-Champion Non-Spell Indicator1 Dropboarder, as well as the character with purple hair and red glasses that can be seen in the artworks of many of LoR Champion Indicator4Ekko's cards, are featured in the background, teased long before their official reveal.
    • Ekko Ekko was included in early concepts of her splash art too.
  • Jasmine Clarke made her song the theme song of the same champion.

  • This skin is the first time a champion had an ultimate skin as their release skin.
  • The ultimate skin is first skin in the game to have a leveling mechanic via narrative questline (or skin specific missions).[22]
    • K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie: After purchasing K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine, you'll start with Seraphine as she appears when she first started her journey on social media—an artist creating music just from her bedroom with only a few followers tagging along her story.
    • K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Rising Star K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Rising Star: When you complete three Missions in her quest line, you'll unlock the Seraphine that was discovered by Evelynn, a more confident musician who has fans of her own right and a wealth of talent that is recognized by all.
    • K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Superstar K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Superstar: And last, but not least, when you complete the next two Missions in her quest line, you'll unlock the Seraphine that is the fully realized collaborator of K/DA and pop star, with fans all over the world.
    • Once you unlock all the different forms, you'll be able to select between them during champion select. With purchase the skin also comes with two icons, an emote and a border that can be earned as a part of the narrative quest line you unlock when the skin is purchased.
  • This skin was used as her official reveal before her classic appearance was revealed. In 2020, social media accounts were run by Riot to create a fictional online persona and to promote the skin and its lore along with the other K/DA ALL OUT cosmetics. Over 100 unique artworks were posted as image posts of her daily life in different media, showing her journey from bedroom artist to K/DA collaborator.[23]

  • Lexie Liu provided vocals for "MORE" featured in ALL OUT, whereas Jasmine Clarke and Absofacto worked on her independent songs.
