A Season is a yearly interval in League of Legends, and it is divided into three equal Splits.

Usually when referring to a season, its duration coincides with the Season/Split model of Ranked gameplay. This interval is also used across various sections of the Client. However, depending on the context, it can also refer to the Esports season (of professional League of Legends), or a set of patches considered part of the loosely-defined "stable" or "non-major" gameplay changes, also used by Rioters.
