- Samira draws inspiration from Devil May Cry, Vanquish, Bayonetta, Viewtiful Joe, Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Xander Cage from the XXX film series, Lorraine Broughton from Atomic Blonde, Gisele Yashar from Fast & Furious, Ellaria Sand from Game of Thrones, the works of Yasuhiro Nightow, Laura Cruz from Tomb Raider, June from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mathangi Arulpragasam, and the Israel Defense Force.[10][11]
- Daredevil Impulse's combo system, Style, and its design resemble Devil May Cry's Stylish Rank.
- The names of her guns, Blaze & Thorn, are likely a reference to Dante's Ebony & Ivory.
- Her blade, Vanquish, resembles Nero's Red Queen, even having a motorcycle-like grip.
- Her ultimate, Inferno Trigger, is likely named as a reference to the Devil Trigger transformation and song.

- Samira is 32 years old as of 996 AN (she was born around 964 AN).[12]
- She lost her eye in a secessionist uprising in the Rokrund Plains that is the same uprising in The Black Powder Plot, which happened around 991 AN.[13]
- Her favorite fruit is pomegranate.[14]
- Samira is an homage to "character-action" games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta.

- Samira, Elise, Gnar, Jayce, Kayle, and Nidalee are the only champions to be conditionally considered both ranged and melee.
- Samira was accidentally pushed to PBE prior to the supposed reveal.
- Samira is one of 21 champions without a single ability power ratio on any ability: Aatrox, Camille, Darius, Dr. Mundo, Draven, Garen, K'Sante, Kayn, Kled, Naafiri, Nilah, Olaf, Pyke, Riven, Samira, Sett, Talon, Urgot, Xayah, Yone, and Zed.
- Unlike conventional emotes, Samira's Taunt has mechanical functions. It creates a coin skillshot that, if Samira has 1 to spare, deals 1 damage and gives 1 to enemy champions.[15] It also automatically aims towards dead enemy champions in range.[16]
- Samira comes from either Sanskrit Samīra समीर "wind, breeze, air"[17] or Arabic سميرة Sāmira "night-companion, nighttalker", feminine active participle of سَمَرَ samara "to spend the night".[18]
- Samira's movement animations change form depending on whether her recent attack used the gun or blade.
- The blocking animation of Blade Whirl has Samira explicitly shoot every single incoming projectile.[19]
- Samira was teased ingame with the Style: Rank S loot item earnable in patch V10.17. It was awarded by scoring a takedown after fighting in a manner like Daredevil Impulse.
- If players look at the Daredevil Impulse stacks in the slot, it will show "Why are you looking? Go style on your enemies!"

- Samira is inspired by the Devil May Cry videogame series, and more specifically the character Dante.
- ▶️ "Jackpot!" references a finishing line said by the protagonists, which is recurrent throughout the series.
- ▶️ "You're dead weight." quotes Dante in Devil May Cry 5 ("Nero, go! You're just dead weight.").
- ▶️ Showtime! and ▶️ "Jackpot!" both reference Devil May Cry's Stylish Rank.
