Roses are used a lot as symbols within certain groups of high regard within the 
Runeterra Prime universe. House Laurent, a noble house of Demacia uses a white variant of a rose as its sigil. In Noxus, a secret cabal, known as the Black Rose, uses black rose petals to contact potential new members.[1]

- In the Language of Flowers, black roses symbolize ideas such as hatred, death, and despair.[2]
