The rebel mages residing amidst what they consider the remnants of the ancient Demacian city of Zeffira are a faction united against the current governing body of Demacia. Although not exclusively comprised of mages, their shared objective is the eradication of systemic oppression targeting both mages and mystical beings. Notably, their influence played a pivotal role in the dissolution of the Mageseekers.

Lore

Inspired by Morgana's vision, the rebels are dedicated to unveiling the truth about Demacia's origins, aiming to challenge the distorted history perpetuated by the ruling powers. Their mission is promoting the freedom and equality for mages, which actively opposes the oppressive regime and societal prejudice enforced by the Mageseekers.

To achieve their goals, the rebels strategically undertook missions to rescue imprisoned mages, creating disruption within the Mageseekers' operations. Leveraging Morgana's vision, they embarked on a campaign to reveal the truth about Demacia, effectively swaying public opinion against the existing ruling authority. Their targeted strikes against influential figures, such as Hesbeth and Eldred, significantly weakened the Mageseekers, eroding the stability of the foundational, anti-mage principles upon which Demacia once stood.

The rebels aim to overthrow the existing regime, to make sure that the rewriting of history by organizations, like the Mageseekers, will never happen again.

• Lux disagrees with the rebels violent stand towards the current regime but does not actively oppose them. They and her were able to defend Terbisia against multiple attacks by Mageseekers and beasts alike. Sylas has stated he wouldn't want to fight Lux, partly because he isn't certain he would win against her.
• Garen fought against Sylas after his escape from imprisonment from the Mageseekers.
• Jarvan IV & Shyvana have fought Sylas after he invaded the The Great City of Demacia with the Rebels of Zeffira and killed Eldred.
• Morgana aided Sylas in his cause by giving him her blessing. Her support played a crucial role in the rebellion's victory against the the Mageseekers.

Gideon	A former Mageseeker who joins the rebellion, seeking to rescue his mage husband.
Kara	A veteran mage of Durand House involved in researching and forging spells for the rebels.
Leilani †	The acting leader figure of the rebellion, she possessed the same magical abilities as Kara for forging spells. She sacrificed herself to reflect one of Wisteria's attack, stunning the Mageseekers but leading to her own death in the process.
Lorne	An ice mage.
Nia	A fire mage who enjoys burning mageseekers that Sylas recruited in Thornbarrow.
Oberon	A wind mage and former teacher that Sylas recruited in Clarion Cove.
Rukko	A young mage who holds a personal vendetta against the Mageseekers, particularly due to the imprisonment of his brother, Kino. Proficient in enhancing weapons, he learned the blacksmithing trade alongside his brother.
Sylas	A former mageseeker and prisoner and mage who becomes the leader of the rebels after Leilani's death. Sylas has the ability to absorb and use magic.
Yops	A yordle who was once held prisoner by Hesbeth. She is an excellent combat trainer and provides these services to the rebellion.
Vesper	A nature mage the Sylas recruited on his way to Terbisia.
