• This item resulted from a separation of the offensive and defensive abilities of Zhonya's Ring. This is the offensive item, while Zhonya's Hourglass is its defensive counterpart.

Trivia

• It was originally named Banksy's Deathcap in the Patch Day Preview. However, the item is still called (Coiffe de) Banksy in the French version.
• The name could be based upon Abaddon, meaning "The Destroyer" or "a place of destruction".
• The hat has a sinister face upon it, a possible reference to the "Sorting Hat" from Harry Potter.
• The hat is listed as Rabadon's Deathcap ingame but after a game, on the overview screen it is still listed as Banksy's Deathcap.
