On champions that do not use mana nor energy as a resource, Presence of Mind is exchanged with Triumph.
Presence of Mind is often taken on the Howling Abyss, as the single lane setup causes regular teamfights leading to a lot of takedowns, thus triggering more times than the average Summoner's Rift game.
Damaging an enemy champion increases your mana regeneration by 1.5 − 11 (based on level) mana per second, reduced to 80% effectiveness for ranged champions, for 4 seconds. When triggering this effect, energy users regenerate 1.5 energy per second, instead.
Takedowns restore 15% of your maximum mana or 15% of your maximum energy.
Champion takedowns, after a 1-second delay, restore 20% of your maximum mana or 20% of your maximum energy and increase maximum mana by 100 or maximum energy by 10, stacking up to 5 times for a maximum of 500 maximum mana or 50 maximum energy.
Removed: No longer refunds 10% of your ultimate's maximum cooldown on takedown.
Swapped back with Triumph on non mana or energy-based champions.
New Effect: Now also restores 20% of your maximum energy on takedown.
New Effect: Now grants 100 maximum mana or 10 maximum energy on takedown, stacking up to 5 times.
ARAM-Specific Changes: Champion takedowns, after a 1-second delay, restore 10% of your maximum mana or 10% of your maximum energy and increase maximum mana by 50 or maximum energy by 5, stacking up to 10 times for a maximum of 500 maximum mana or 50 maximum energy.
Bug Fix: Many champions whose ultimate abilities use pet controls or multiple activations (e.g. Talon recalling his Shadow Assault or Riven casting Wind Slash) now properly gain Presence of Mind's cooldown reduction on takedowns that occur while their ults are still active.
