The Physical Realm is the physical reality. It is all of conventional space and time and their contents, including planets (such as the physical planet of
Runeterra), stars, galaxies, and all other conventional forms of matter and energy. It is the main setting of the
League of Legends lore. The Physical Realm, the Celestial Realm, and the Spiritual Realm all toghether form the so-called "Realm of Creation". Beyond the Realm of Creation (or seemingly below it) is the Void, the "Realm of Nothingness".
Locations[]
Most of the places in the cosmos of the Physical Realm were observed and catalogued by Runeterran scientists and
5 seers with the use of magic, or equipment such as telescopes and astrolabes. Due to the evolving nature of the Physical Realm, many visual depictions of these celestial bodies and their movements are subject to change, as observation methods are perfected with more accurate equipment.
Runeterran System[]
| “ | ▶️ "Your favorite star? I created it." |

The Runeterran system is a loose term referring to the solar system where
Runeterra resides in.
The most noticeable celestial bodies observable from Runeterra are its Sun and Moon, which sparked numerous religions such as those of the
Targonian
Solari and
Lunari.
The Sun was one of the first stars forged by eons ago.
Constellations[]

Constellations are areas or beings in the cosmos in which a group of visible stars form a perceived outline or pattern. These cosmic creations are not easily understood, since their origins and visuals vary greatly just in the
Runeterra Prime universe alone.
These celestial patterns have different origins. Celestial dragons like created and gave life to numerous constellations. Constellations that are the byproduct of ascension have each star represent a host for a certain aspect. Constellations can be the visual representation of beings that have passed from the physical realm to the celestial realm (e.g. The Lovers constellation from The Vaulted Road).
These wondrous and mysterious creations typically represent an animal, mythological subject, events, inanimate object, ascended individuals, or aspects. Beings such as celestials (including aspects and dragons), aspect hosts, and even mortals from the physical realm can reshape or perceive constellations differently depending on certain events, abilities, or cosmic alignment. E.g. , an aspect host, is able to use
0 The Serpent constellation as a jump rope and a bind for ; The death of
5 Pantheon at the hands of also caused the extinguishment of the entire Warrior constellation (until it was reignited by in a new form), showing that the constellations have connections to the aspects they represent.

Trivia[]
- In League of legends lore there exist many other alternate universes besides
Runeterra Prime.
- In the
Arcane timeline, the planet of Runeterra is significantly smaller in size compared to the one suggested in
main canon. The continents of Valoran and Shurima take up the entire northern and southern hemispheres, as opposed to only taking up the northern hemisphere in canon (the current canon map is only 1/6 of the size of the entire world). Also, Solar system models show several unknown planets orbiting around the Runeterran sun. It is unclear if these planets exist in the main canon. - The inhabitants of the
Stargazer universe call the alternate universes "Spheres". - The cosmic entities of the
Event Horizon are able to create, destroy, and inhabit different physical realms (creating and destroying universes). They are also able to travel to existing universes through multiversal gateways, such as those made by Ora in the
Odyssey universe.
- These cosmic entities create and seemingly represent different constellations.
- The inhabitants of the
Pulsefire universe are also able to traverse different universes.
