- Nasus literally means "nose" in Latin - referencing his golden wolf head's long nose.

- Nasus was a warrior scholar who spearheaded the military and cultural uprising of Ancient Shurima, but Azir's misled arrogance led to the empire's downfall, costing him his own brother Renekton.
- Nasus hopes he can cure Renekton of his madness, so that the brothers united might defeat Xerath and restore Shurima to greatness.
- The sarcophagus Nasus and Renekton used to imprison Xerath was first used to contain a beast of living fire (likely Brand) the Magus Ascendant himself freed to keep the brothers away from the capital while he stole Azir's Ascension.
