Each student in Lee Sin's group has trained their senses through different means - she's trained to perceive Ionia's currents of magic. Hui Ning is one of the most spiritually advanced students of the Order who fights with her spirit rather than her fists. She refers to both  3 Scales of the Dragon and 3 Tail of the Dragon as "brother," suggesting either a blood relation or close friendship with them. |

After the  Noxian attack on the Temple of Pallas, Kai was fatally wounded. In order to save his life, Valmar dives into the well beneath the temple that houses the Darkin,  Varus.  Valmar surrenders to Varus' will, in exchange for saving  Kai's life. True to his word, Varus saved Kai's life... by taking it as his own.
