  • Yo,

The Ability presentation template is very experimental right now. I would love to develop it more, but I never find the time to do so.

Please do not use it yet <3

    • Aaah..ok. That explains why some abilities were looking awkward that way and that it couldn't specify the subfeature yet. Ok, ty for the information, I won't use it for now.

Anyway, a great idea and definitely something the wiki needs, keeping up with the current pace of game changes isn't fast enough on wiki.

P.S.: What about the other presentations (ip/mp/sp)?

        Loading editor
    • The more simple ones : mp and sp, are fully functionnal.

As for item presentation, I've stop improving it late decembre 2016. But it works fine right now, it's just not very efficient in term of memory usage and such.

  • I note you submitted an update for the levelselect to support additional resources, and so I come to you in the hopes that you can further improve it. The original author of the script appears to be inactive, and I'm not proficient at all.

My request can be found here, but feel free to reply to this comment.

    • I fixed that directly in the template. Hence, if anything changes regarding the champ's ID, the future changes to the script won't be needed.

    • Ok, the current script with template should be final versions. I only added a general handling of stats with omitted level scaling (this allows to reverse my last edit in the 'stats' template).

  • Could you please update List of champions too

  • I was wondering if you could tell me more about your recent changes, because a lot of them aren't making sense to me.

You changed the definition on the pet category so you could add champions like Ashe and Nami, who don't actually have pets in their kits beyond thematic stuff. This completely changes the purpose of the category away from listing champions that have game-impacting pets and seems to turn it into useless fluff. I don't feel like the category actually means anything now.

And then the support category. You include the support's position to the definition of the category and then... you add champions that don't fit that position. Instead, you just added a bunch of champions on the basis of their utility without regard for their position in game. What was the point of adding to the definition if you just end up ignoring it? As it is now, the support category is insanely misleading.

    • Sure, sorry for the late response:

      • The first broadening of the definition was intentional, because of the link on very top of the article:
        Main article: Pets

The both articles were linked together for a very long time and both champs you mentioned were listed as having pets in there. It was all already present on the wiki and I was aware of that inconsistency for quite a while but I just accepted it. However, yesterday Tylobic removed Category: Sight champion as the champions were actually granting that persistent kind of sight by using pet units. That validated Teemo OriginalSquare Teemo's presence among pet champs. After I'd seen that step towards the unification of both linked articles, I simply completed the merge. From the three pet conditions the first two detect game-impacting pets, only the last one detects the "cosmetic" pets. I agree that it sounded weird to me too to add Nami OriginalSquare, but I only created the clear definition of pet from what was already present and then watched what it'd produce. She's been listed in the twin article long ago after all. Regarding Ashe OriginalSquare, I believe that her presence in the category is just as rightful as that of Swain OriginalSquare, both use the bird pet for their abilities. You cannot put the champions into the category because of the feeling. Hence I defined the sharper definition first and then some champs naturally fell in. Again, yes, having Nami OriginalSquare in feels a bit counterintuitive for me too, but then you'd have to remove Teemo OriginalSquare as well and that'd make Tylobic's deletion of Sight champs unfounded because they'd no more be a subgroup of Pet champs.
      • Yes, the support category is only a hasty sketch from yesterday. I intended to distinguish support position and controller attribute, so I could apply the new Controller role on champion wiki pages. However, while the attributes are clearly defined on champions, viable positions can be quite subjective. We don't have the category pages for the rest of the positions on wiki either (jungler, bot, mid, top), imo for exactly that reason: subjectivity. I simply temporarily put such champions into the support category that I considered to be viable, because I don't have rights to delete pages. I was thinking about deletion of that category a lot as well, because, firstly, currently it is the only category by position, and secondly, the subjectivity. If we won't delete it, how to objectively determine, who is allowed to belong in here?

  • Great work with the Levelselect update. =]

Are you up for more script stuff?
I'm thinking of the champion filter: http://pl.leagueoflegends.wikia.com/

  • Template:Champion_info?curid=1957&diff=2428308&oldid=2426542

This needs to be edited to: Template:Champion_info/stats

Else it shows weird stuff in the stats section.

  • fd = format decimal

only use for numbers with digits after the decimal point

      Loading editor
    • oooh, I think I have to revert "few" things :p

The manual for Fd is misleading in that case. It mentions integer examples such as '10' and '10%' and that's what confused me -.-

      Maybe it should be tweaked.

      ok, thanks

    • .. but basically I m just making excuses for apologising my own error, logically it makes no sense to try to embrace every number in Fd -_-

      sryyyy :B

  • Thanks for pointing the missing ones out.

By the way... you can add those categories to the champions yourself. This wiki is made by Fans like you.

    • Well, I m very new here (around a week) and I only figured out that champion pages are generated by some templates.

Aaand I was unable to locate the data source with these categories, maybe because I didn t read all the guides.. yet :p

    • This is weird. Indeed I did confirm, although I remember having some issues back then. Nevertheless in my profile preferences it is written

"Email confirmation:Thanks! Your email was confirmed on July 9, 2016 at 15:11."

..so I think it cannot be it.

Maybe it has something to do with my NB (I don t use adblocks, just flat redirect host file), I will try a different computer.
