Sion VU promo text, yeah you didnt do it fully, making me do all the work (was going to do it anyways but was in the gym so I was busy) . Also "11.jpg", thats improper naming of the file, please restrain yourself from that kind of thing. You are new to editing and there are a lot of things you need to know before that like categorizing each picture you post so that it has the proper placing in the wiki. I have marked the picture for deletion for the soul fact of the improper naming and cataloging. I know we all are super hyped about the Sion even, but this problems just makes others work a lot harder.
Me and another lore enthusiast called Denevir would like to speak to you on these very wiki message boards, forums, chat or any way possible. We have many lore related ideas, theories or general talks to share with you, Denevir specifically since he has also found me on the wiki trough the LoL boards.
I remember someone saying that the Draenei from Warcraft 3 were retconed and later changed to look more like the antagonist of Warcraft 3. (they looked like the ones at the right if im correct)
I like their appearance, they and the blood elves and the night elves would be my first race choices if I ever started to play WoW.
Trinity Force could be anything, It could represent Bards mask (the three dots), it could represent ultimate balance in the cosmos and it could represent the ninjas. Ether way, it follows the Triforces role as a very important artifact.
To clarify about the Draenei, they were originally added as a race in Warcraft 3's expansion that allied with a dude named Illidan Stormrage to take this place the Black Temple. When the WoW expansion TBC came about they changed around the Draenei and the origin of a bunch of demons called Eredar so that the Draenei in warcraft 3 are mutated versions of the Draenei named Broken, that the Draenei are uncorrupted Eredar who split from the race when the option to go demon was offered up, and that they colonized and named the homeworld of the orcs: Draenor.
That might not make a lick of sense, at all, but eh, I still love 'em, and yeah, the right most dude is what they originally looked like, the left most is what they look like now.
I made up a theory pertaining to Triforce that it was a shuriman artifact displaying the heads of three animals and serving as sort of an exemplification of the admirable qualities of said animals. This came about mainly because of Azir, Nasus and Renekton so the triforce would have a falcon, jackal and a crocodile to represent things like strength, cunning and intellect or something. Either way triforce is likely something that's got a lot of power behind it.
Gotta wonder what other ascended are actually doing if they do exist, which I'd assume they do. I mean we only know of five: Nasus, Renekton, Azir, Xerath and the sod that Ezreal got his amulet from. And of those Xerath and Azir are the "youngest"! So where the hell are the rest of them?!
Also I like the theory that Rammus is an ascended of some kind. Not exactly sure on him being a yordle, but there have been weirder theories. I'd stipulate he may be the very first ascended being ever and that he's SUPER old though.
The rest are ether destroyed or on their own personal quests.
The Ascended only grasp a small amount of Celestial energy, same with the Watchers and The Shadow Isles creator. My question is what are the Watchers, are they aliens or are they a race native to runeterra? And why are sentient Dragons around? Why are dragons like Ao Shin so powerful?
See I personally never thought that Yordle's were ever in Freljord. Sure Gnar had an encounter with a being that looked like a Watcher but nothing indicates said encounter was actually in Freljord. What I've come to theorise in my head is that Yordles originally evolved from large jungle beasts that resemble Mega Gnar on the south side of Valoran.
- Back when Shurima was in the height of its power and Nasus and Renekton were humans, Freljord's armies were colonizing northern Valoran. When they eventually reached Shurima they were met by the two brothers who, having beseeched their gods for a blessing, had been transformed by the Sun Disc in to Ascended beings. The battle was bloody and brutal with beings of god like power on both sides.
- Off a ways away but still close to the conflict is a jungle that the Kumungu of today originates from, but is likely much bigger. Here the Watcher's throw their Iceborn at the wilderness and its denizens and hope to claim it, but find resistance in the primitive yordles. A watcher enters the affair to show its dominance or something to this effect, prompting Gnar's transformation. In the ensuring battle Gnar kills or greviously injures the watcher and single handedly forces Freljord's armies to flee.
- With the Shurimans having the Ascended on the front lines and a monster coming from the jungles that can topple anyone or anything that gets in its way, the Watchers call for a retreat, which then leads in to a civil war in Freljord after some time has passed. I'd like to imagine that it was Avarosa, having been involved in these conflicts and seeing beings that could rival the Watcher's in ways that really showed them up; a little creature in Gnar that just naturally, with nothing but brute strength can defeat them and the Ascended, humans who were gifted powers by their Gods that rival the Watcher's themselves. With insight like that and also being witness to whatever atrocities the Watchers were willing to perpetrate her perspective may have changed about things.
On the topic of dragons and the Watcher's origins, I'd say dragons are simply highly evolved reptilian creature with immense power and great magical potential, leading some like Ao Shin to access powers noone else really can. I kinda don't want put the Watcher's as being void related, mainly because I don't want the void to be related to EVERYTHING. I'd assume they simply came from way further north than humans, ursine, trolls and yeti had ever been before, keeping in mind the Freljord map shows ice stretching even further north than the northern most shores of Valoran.
I'd assume that since with the Watcher's came an ice age of sorts that Anivia's power/presence grew with the cold, giving her a greater reach over Valoran. On the other hand perhaps they enslaved her and forced her to aid in their conquest or she was simply choosing to watch over Freljord's people, so she made sure to bring herself along for their wars.
Also, all hail the multi-languaged (but not English) spoiler release of Ekkos champion select screen quote. I do wish he is Urtistan, we hadnt have someone from that place since, well, Zilean was the first actually.
Also, I wish after Riot releases the base lore on their site, they start thinking of releasing published books, comics, tv shows, movies of their world. That will surely speed up the amount of lore we get for this setting and they will get money out of it which in the end may bring more budget for future lore projects.
What i see is that the Sun disk, Solari Artifact, and even the Lunari ones, all of then extract cosmic energy of the sun (Lunari indirectly from the moon because the moon reflects the same light of the sun) . The difference is the scale of the extraction. Sin disk ecomphases the whole city skyline of Shurimas capital, that could probably rack up a lot more cosmic energy. Its like the Alchemy circles from Full Metal Alchemist, the bigger the circle, the bigger the transmutation. Now the Lunari would by this point have the weakest artifacts, but not necessarily, the moon is also a cosmic body, the alterations that the moon gives to the cosmic energy of the sun could give it other properties, which maybe also the reason as to why the Solari attacked the Lunari. This is me going super fanon about this but just my thoughts.
What do you expect, the lore board regulars only demands spam about how lore is awful, perish the thought of actually having lore threads these days. This is why their opinions dont matter much to Riot, they are disorganized, rambling and sometimes very pathetic in their approach. And who cares if they specifically dont care about your work, you already know what kind of people they are and what they want, their opinion should not effect of what you think of your work.
And I suggest you to not even try to convince them to change their view of the matter, after 2-3 comments of the same reactions, its pretty much clear that you are just going to waste your time with thet topic of explaining things and it will just end up agrevating yourself, which you should never do. Nobody on the bastard internet, exspecially the toxic side of lol community, is worth my nerves.
I dont know. Taric, Urgot and Poppy feel like the closest ones at this point. Also Urgot is getting a Sion level rework, which pleases me. Cause Sion had the best rework in terms of lore at this point.
