WR Summoner's Rift

Wild Rift's main map

The Wild Rift is a mostly abridged version of the League of Legends map Summoner's Rift icon Summoner's Rift. It has been reduced in features and territory, but still supports three lanes and five players per side. The Wild Rift version of the Howling Abyss icon Howling Abyss map is also available.

Map[]

The Wild Rift icon nav Wild Rift map is the default map in regular gamemodes: PVP, Ranked and Coop VS A.I. as well as in the U.R.F. mode. Each team has its base, which contains the respawn point, also named fountain, and from which you can buy items, as well as one Nexus. The goal of each team is to destroy the enemy Nexus, with the winner being the one who manages to do it first.

Lanes[]

The two bases are connected by three lanes respectively called Baron Lane WR Baron lane, Middle Lane and Dragon Lane WR Dragon lane. Periodically, waves of minions spawn from the Nexus. Minions are AI-controlled NPC's that move down the lanes, engaging any enemies they encounter. The lanes are lined with two turrets and one inhibitor turret that engage enemies within range. The nexus itself also attacks like a turret but with greater speed. The turrets that line the base walls are called inhibitors because once destroyed, they allow for more powerful minions to spawn in that lane. Once a turret or inhibitors turret is destroyed, it will not respawn.

Jungle[]

Besides the lanes, the maps also contain jungle areas, populated with neutral monsters. These monsters can be killed by a champion for gold and experience, and in the case of epic monsters, a player or team-wide buff.

Vegetation[]

The Jungle is filled with four types of plants, each having unique uses and effects;

  • Brushes: All units within a brush become hidden from view to enemies and are considered to be in the Fog of War until Sight icon sight is granted over the area covered by the brush, such as by a Ward icon ward. A unit inside of a brush can be revealed by all forms of sight. When concealed by a bush, the Jungler icon appears above the player's head and they become transparent.
  • HoneyfruitSquare Honeyfruit: When destroyed, drops 3 fruits on the ground. Walking on a fruit restores a small amount of mana and health points.
  • Blast ConeSquare Blast Cone: When destroyed, all units within its radius are Airborne icon Knocked away from the plant;
  • Scryer's BloomSquare Scryer's Bloom: Releases pollen in a large cone that flies in the direction the attacker was facing, True Sight icon revealing enemy champions, entities and traps.

Mirrored side of the map[]

Players on the red team have their map and camera rotated to mimic the same point of view as the blue team. Because of that, the top lane is instead called the Baron Lane WR Baron lane, while bot lane is called the Dragon Lane WR Dragon lane to avoid confusion as the actual position of the lanes on the mini-map depends on the team players are in. This means players you always start on the bottom left part of the Wild Rift, and the enemy nexus will always be in the top right. If players are on the mirrored side of the map, the announcer declares it upon the match starting and before the players are able to leave the base. To make it even clearer, arrows on the ground will indicate which lane players are supposed to go to depending on the role they are playing. On top of this, Dragon and Baron icons glow on the ground on the corresponding lanes, between the fountain and the inhibitors.
