The health bar, colored green, on top, and the Mana bar, colored blue, on the bottom.

Mana is the resource of some champions necessary to cast most of his/her abilities. The mana pool is represented by a blue bar below the green health bar and two numbers ( # / # ) in the middle of it. The first one is your current amount of mana and the second refers to the maximum amount you can store. Mana regenerates over time and this rate can be increased with masteries and items.

At level 18, the base mana pool ranges from Poppy's Poppy's 745 to Kassadin Kassadin's 1538.

Maximum mana has a gold value of 2 gold per point. Mana regen has a gold value of 60 gold per point. Mana restored by potion has a gold value of 0.35 gold per point.

Items

  • Archangel's Staff Archangel's Staff increases your ability power by 3% of your maximum mana.
  • Athene's Unholy Grail Athene's Unholy Grail restores 15% of your maximum mana on kill or assist.
  • Seraph's Embrace Seraph's Embrace increases your ability power by 3% of your maximum mana. Drains 20% of your current mana to shield yourself for an equal amount for 3 seconds.
  • Manamune Manamune and Muramana Muramana increase your attack damage by 2% of your maximum mana. Toggle: Your single target spells and attacks (on hit) consume 3% of your current mana to deal twice that amount as physical damage.

A champion's mana can be restored in several ways:

Abilities which restore mana

  • Annie's Annie's Disintegrate Disintegrate refunds the mana cost if it kills the target.
  • Cho'Gath's Cho'Gath's Carnivore Carnivore restores 3.25 + (0.25 × Cho'Gath's level) mana per kill.
  • Cassiopeia's Twin Fang restores its mana cost (30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90) and 3% of her maximum mana when it kills a target
  • Evelynn's Evelynn's Shadow Walk Shadow Walk restores 1% of maximum mana every second while the stealth is active.
  • Gangplank's Gangplank's Parrrley Parrrley refunds half the mana cost (25 / 27.5 / 30 / 32.5 / 35) if it kills the target.
  • Irelia's Irelia's Bladesurge Bladesurge refunds 35 mana if it kills the target.
  • Jayce's Jayce's Lightning Field Lightning Field restores 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 mana per hit.
  • Karthus' Karthus' Defile Defile restores 20 / 27 / 34 / 41 / 48 mana per kill when turned off.
  • Kassadin's Kassadin's Nether Blade Nether Blade active restores 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8% missing mana on hit. The value quintuples against enemy champions for a maximum of 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% missing mana.
  • Malzahar's Malzahar's Malefic Visions Malefic Visions restores 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 mana per enemy unit that dies while having this ability on them.
  • Sivir's Sivir's Spell Shield Spell Shield restores 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 mana whenever it successfully blocks an ability.
  • Swain's Swain's Carrion Renewal Carrion Renewal restores 9 + (1 × level) mana per kill. On a champion kill or assist, he regains an additional 9% of his maximum mana.
  • Twisted Fate's Twisted Fate's Pick A Card Pick A Card will restore 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 mana with a "Blue Card".
  • Varus' Varus' Piercing Arrow Piercing Arrow refunds half of its mana cost (25 / 37.5 / 40 / 42.5 / 45) if he fails to fire after four seconds of channeling the ability.
  • Veigar's Veigar's Equilibrium Equilibrium increases mana regeneration by 1% for every percentage of mana missing.
  • Xerath's Xerath's Arcanopulse Arcanopulse refunds half of its mana cost (40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60) if he fails to fire after 3 seconds of channeling the ability.
    • Mana Surge Mana Surge restore 30-195 (27 + 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15) mana every 12 seconds on a basic attack. The amount of mana restored is doubled if the attack target is a champion. This does not apply to structures.

Increasing mana

Several items and runes can increase the total mana of a champion. This statistic scales additively, which means that each bonus point acquired is directly added to the mana pool.
