Granite Shield
STATIC COOLDOWN: 10 / 8 / 6 (based on level)

Innate- Shard of the Monolith: Malphite gains increased percentage size equal to 8% of his total armor, capped at 35% increased size at 437.5 armor.

Innate: Malphite Hybrid resistances icon.png shields himself for Health icon.png 10% of his maximum health. The shield lasts until it is broken, and refreshes if he has not taken damage in the last few seconds.

  • Malphite's increased size is affected by his base armor and growth, but also reduced by Black Cleaver Black Cleaver. His increased size does not consider Thunderclap's Thunderclap's bonus armor.
    • The bonus will become a size reduction if Malphite is dropped to negative armor values.
  • Granite Shield does not refresh its cooldown from damage that is mitigated by Hybrid resistances icon.png shields.

Seismic Shard

Seismic Shard.png

Active: Malphite sends a rock rolling to the target enemy and, upon impact, dealing them magic damage, Slow icon.png slowing them for 3 seconds and gaining Movement speed icon.png bonus movement speed equal to the raw amount the target lost for the duration.

Magic Damage:
70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+ 60% AP)
20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40%

  • The rock spawns 100 units in front of Malphite.
  • Malphite will gain the bonus movement speed for the full duration as long as Seismic Shard impacts the target.
    • Both a Promote.png buff shown in the hotbar and duration bar above the ability icon will indicate the remaining duration.
  • Seismic Shard's movement speed gain is entirely based off the target's current, and loss of, movement speed.
    • Targets that are already Slow icon.png slowed by another effect will grant Malphite diminished movement speed.
    • Slow immune icon.png Slow-resistant and Slow immune 2.png slow-immune targets will reduce or nullify Malphite's gain.
  • Spell Shield.png Spell shield will block the damage and the slow but not the bonus movement speed gain.

Active: Malphite's next Basic Attack.png basic attack within 6 seconds is Critical strike physical icon.png empowered to gain Range icon.png 50 bonus attack range and deal bonus physical damage on-hit. It and other basic attacks for the next 5 seconds also trigger a cone on-hit in the direction of the target, dealing physical damage to all enemies hit.

Bonus Physical Damage:
30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+ 20% AP) (+ 10% armor)
Cone Damage:
10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 20% AP) (+ 10% armor)

Thunderclap Bladework.png resets Malphite's basic attack timer.

  • The passive will amplify negative armor, too, if Malphite's armor is dropped that low.
  • The empowered attack:
  • The cone starts from Malphite's location.
    • Unlike similar spells, it does not deal its damage separately to the primary target of the attack(s); if the target is outside the area of effect when struck, it will not take the bonus damage.
  • PENDING FOR TEST: Interaction with parrying effects (Counter Strike.png dodge, Spirit's Refuge.png block, Blind icon.png blind).
  • Taking into account Malphite's base attack speed and attack speed growth, he'll be able to use up to 4-6 (levels 1-18) empowered attacks (including the initial one).
    • With 2.5 attack speed, he'll be able to use up to 12.

  • The Cripple icon.png cripple can be applied more than once; it can be stacked by multiple Ground Slams.

Unstoppable Force

Unstoppable Force.png

Active: Malphite Dash.png dashes with Unstoppable icon.png displacement immunity to the target location and, upon impact, deals magic damage to all nearby enemies and Airborne icon.png knocks them up for 1.5 seconds.

Magic Damage:
200 / 300 / 400 (+ 80% AP)

Unstoppable Force will cast at max range if cast beyond that.

  • The dash speed can be up-to doubled if Unstoppable Force is targeted at the middle of a wall so that his destination ends up on the other side.
    • It will be decreased if his destination ends up closer to him than his target location.
  • If Malphite dies during his Dash.png dash, the ability cancels.
    • If the dash is interrupted without Malphite dying, for instance when he enters Revival icon.png resurrection during Unstoppable Force, he halts and the ability instead affects enemies at the stopped location.
