Lore

Long ago, Cygnus met a young woman called Lyra on the mountainside. She'd fled her warlike tribe in search of a new life with the spiritual Lunari. Impressed by her courage, Cygnus taught her to hide herself in moonlight, and to search out truth in darkness.

One morning, Lyra did not return home. Days passed, and Cygnus suspected the worst. He gathered the Lunari faithful to find her. They will not lose one of their own—not on his watch.

Trivia

• Internally, this card is called Lunari Scout.
• The Lunari imprisoned behind the 1 Solari Soldier is the escaped lunari prisoner called Lyra from the Tales of Runeterra The Vaulted Road cinematic.
  • Despite the pre-release voice overs giving both 1 Solari Soldier and 2 Lunari Shadestalker noticeably different accents, their visual appearances and narratives would fit the two lovers from the cinematic.
  • The Lunari Scout can also be seen on the 2 Solari Shieldbearer's artwork.
• Thematically, the Nightfall effect on this card likely represents them being able to be unseen if there under the veil of darkness.
