In a world where ancient spirits and magical creatures thrive in the periphery of modern society, powerful porcelain artifacts called the Zodiac Relics are key to unlocking immense power. They are kept safe by the Protectors: immortal guardians tasked with keeping the Relics out of the wrong hands.

Protectors

Porcelain Amumu

Eternally young due to his bond with the Rat Relic, Amumu's innocence belies centuries of existence. He's been lonely in ages past, but no more: Lux is like his big sister, and Kindred is his… Kindred? Companionship hasn't stopped his occasional tantrums, of course, but at least now there's someone to shine his porcelain eyes after a nice cathartic cry.
Porcelain Protector Aurelion Sol
Chromas: Amethyst, Catseye, Obsidian, Opulent, Rose Quartz, Ruby
When the Zodiac forged their relics, Aurelion Sol was there. With him, eleven others: the first to be humbled with the task of guarding the artifacts, the first to be granted their powers. Centuries later, Aurelion Sol is summoned forth by his draconic descendant, desperate for his help against an ancient threat with which he is all too familiar.
Porcelain Darius

Darius has watched the modern-day protector of the Tiger Relic from afar, silently judging his descendant. Back when he was protector, the Tiger was a symbol of pride... Now it seems the Zodiac will hand off the duty to anyone with a minor in archeology. Returned to physical form, Darius believes he can show this kid a thing or two.
Porcelain Protector Ezreal
Chromas: Catseye, Golden Tiger, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Tanzanite
After accidentally unleashing an ancient evil sorceress while doing research in the university archive, Ezreal narrowly escaped certain death when Lux and the spirit of the Tiger Relic stepped in to save him. Though he is new to the world of magic, Ezreal has joined the Protectors— determined to help solve the problem he (inadvertently) caused.
Porcelain Graves
Chromas: Catseye, Emerald, Obsidian, Opulent, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Tanzanite, Turquoise
Not long after gunpowder was invented, the Zodiac searched for a new protector of the Dragon Relic. Though ancient and wise, the gods struggled to find someone worthy, so they settled for Malcolm Graves. Eventually his expertise in firepower was pointed in the right direction (away from all the breakable vases).
Porcelain Irelia
Chromas: Catseye, Emerald, Obsidian, Opulent, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Tanzanite, Turquoise
Irelia was dedicated to the preservation of ancient relics long before she became a protector. Her first year at university, she interned at the renowned Archeology Institute. It was the highlight of her short life... until she was granted mythical powers by the Ram Relic and thrust into a centuries-old war. Schoolwork sort of pales in comparison.
Porcelain Kindred
Chromas: Catseye, Emerald, Golden Tiger, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite
Once a skilled hunter and her fierce hound, the two were so bonded that their souls remained together when they were preserved inside the Dog Zodiac Relic. Now they are two halves of a whole, mentoring generations of Protectors like Lux and Amumu and standing guard eternally over the ancient magic that keeps them alive.

  The hunter and the hound stalk the runway in white-feathered armor with cerulean plating. The refractions of images that dance in the crystals embossed on both bow and headdress dare the audience to reflect on the past year, their fashion feats, and faux pas.

As the current leader of the Protectors and wielder of the Rabbit Relic, Lux is determined to keep up her sunny disposition in spite of everything: her own arduous sorcery training, the newbie archaeologist who stumbled into their ranks, and the sudden threat of an awakened evil now out for vengeance. She's got this… right? Right.

Through the centuries, humans have tried to replicate the power of dragon's breath. With gunpowder came the cannon, which was finessed into smaller and more refined variants until it was ultimately perfected by Sarah Fortune's mother. Her dual dragon-pistols carry on the legacy of not only her own family, but of the creatures of myth themselves.

There is no one who comprehends the power of the sorceress Lissandra more than Morgana. The magic that bound Lissandra to her relic came at a cost: the protector who uttered the words would be trapped as well. Morgana made this sacrifice, the wings of her Rooster Relic wrapping her in a porcelain cocoon for millennia. Awake once more, she seeks revenge.
