Development

- Lucian was originally voiced by Patrick Seitz. After
Senna's release, TJ Storm voices most of his lines, along with High Noon Lucian and 1Lucian in Legends of Runeterra. Storm also voiced Lucian in Dark Passage, Shadow's Embrace, and Ruination (Video).
- Kog'Maw and Renekton are also voiced by Patrick Seitz.
- Lucian's Japanese voice actor is Rikiya Koyama.[1]
- Lucian's voice actor in Brazil is Marco Antônio Abreu, who also voiced his High Noon skin, Yasuo and Nightbringer Yasuo.
- Lucian's theme 'The Purifier's Resolve' was composed and performed by The Crystal Method (live at the Season 3 World Championship finals).
- Senna's theme was composed by the same group.
- Lucian's title during production was 'the Gun Templar' (was called such in Polish localization and his teaser 'Shadows and Reflections').[2]

- Lucian’s dual pistols were passed down through generations of the Sentinels of Light. One belonged to his father, Urias, and the other to his wife, Senna; when Thresh imprisoned her, Lucian took up the weapon in her honor.[3]

- Lucian's is the first login screen to start with an animated sequence (his shows his wife Senna's soul being dragged into Thresh's lantern).
- The Culling used to be the first ability in the game to directly scale with attack speed (until V5.22) and is the first that allows firing backwards while moving.
- Lucian's recalling references Equilibrium.

- The sloped front of Lucian's guns is also very reminiscent of the weapons wielded by the Clerics in Equilibrium.

- If Senna and Thresh are played on opposing teams, a quest will trigger for Lucian as well. This in-game quest consists of a battle of himself vs Thresh to earn the opposing champion's stack of souls, Lucian's death will grant Senna's stacks to Thresh.[8]
