Innate: Whenever an enemy champion dies while Lissandra is nearby, she spawns a Frozen Thrall from their corpse.

Frozen Thralls are Cosmic Radiance.png invulnerable and Untargetable icon.png untargetable ice spirits that Slow icon.png slow all nearby enemies by 25% and gain Movement speed icon.png bonus movement speed that increases over their lifespan. They will chase nearby Sight icon.png visible enemies for 4 seconds, prioritizing Champion icon.png champions, after which they shatter to deal 120 − 520 (based on level) (+ 50% AP) magic damage to nearby enemies.

  • Thralls are units that are considered champions (they are Command Hallucinate.png clones) and they take the form of the champion they arise from.
    • Additionally, near the end of their life span, they will cue that champion's basic attack animation.
    • They cannot be teleported by an allied Realm Warp Realm Warp.
  • Iceborn Subjugation will not summon a Thrall against enemy champions that enter a Zombie icon.png zombie state, and will instead summon one after they've left the state.

Enemy Cast: Lissandra freezes the target enemy champion, Knockdown icon.png knocking them down and Stun icon.png stunning them for 1.5 seconds.

Self Cast: Lissandra instantly entombs herself, placing herself in Stasis icon.png stasis for 2.5 seconds while Heal power icon.png healing herself over the duration, which is increased by 0% − 100% (based on missing health) at time of cast.

90 / 140 / 190 (+ 25% AP)
Maximum Self-Heal:
180 / 280 / 380 (+ 50% AP)

Frozen Tomb creates a field of ice that spreads out from the target over 1.5 seconds and covers the surrounding area for 3 seconds, dealing magic damage to enemies and Slow icon.png slowing them for 0.5 seconds, refreshing every 0.25 seconds while they remain.

The truth is perhaps more sinister, as she uses her elemental magic to twist the power of True Ice into something dark and terrible, entombing or impaling any who would reveal her deepest secrets. Indeed, the legacy of her past may yet be the beginning of the end for Runeterra.

Trivia

  • Lissandra first appeared in the Journal of Justice, Issue 2, several years before her announcement as a champion. Like now, she was portrayed as the leader of one of the three tribes of the Freljord, but her portrayal was originally vastly different, as a mortal princess allied with Ashe Ashe's tribe.
    • This was later revealed to be her alter ego, and most people are not aware of her being the Ice Witch herself.
  • Lissandra's story might be referencing Ultimecia's from Final Fantasy VIII as well as Flemeth's from Dragon Age.
  • If Ashe, Lissandra, and/or Sejuani Sejuani are played on opposing teams, Battle for Freljord will trigger. This in-game quest consists in one killing the other to earn the title of 'Queen of Freljord' (complete with a floating ice crown floating above their heads) referencing the civil war taking place there, between the three tribes each lead.
  • Lissandra is one of the few champions to have self-affecting crowd control (the others being Caitlyn Caitlyn, Rumble Rumble, Sion Sion, Varus Varus, Vi Vi, Xerath Xerath, and Ziggs Ziggs)
  • Lissandra is the only champion to possess a single-targeted ability (Frozen Tomb Frozen Tomb) that can be used on herself but not on allies.
  • Lissandra, Elise Elise, and Lucian Lucian are the only champions to feature a monologue on their login screens.
  • Lissandra manipulating Dark Ice Dark Ice might be referencing the Great Dark Spot from Neptune.
  • Lissandra may be the feminine form of Greek name Λύσανδρος (Lysander or "liberator").
  • Her champion theme is the same as the pick music of ARAM and is titled "Freljord".
