CaenenLoL (Message Wall - Contribs - Logs - Block/rights log) (Back to requests for permissions - Grant rights)

I, User:TehAnonymous, nominate User:CaenenLoL for moderator permissions. I actually elevated them temporarily back in May of this year in response to a vandalism attack and may have forgotten to take them away afterwards. Anyways, they've been a pretty active editor and have been using the moderator access responsibly. I think we should make it official and permanent. And yes this is the same text as the FrostFist nomination for those of you paying attention. — kek TehAnonymous <3 00:01, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

  1. Support Support — As Nominator — kek TehAnonymous <3 02:16, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
  2. Support Support — Reliable editor with a lot of knowledge about the game. Doesn't have a lot of edits (compared to other new moderators), but always triple-checks what they add to the wiki. Tylobic (talk) 11:26, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
  3. Support Support — I like Caenen he posts good Sion memes and helps a lot of interactions. Spideraxe30 9:02, 2 November 2020 (EST)
  4. Support Support — We already have a lot of new moderators but we're a big wiki, and Caenen has proven to be a good and knowledgeable editor. They already had temporary mod powers as part of the 'emergency powers' in response to vandalism, if we have a number of responsible moderators this wouldn't have been an issue - this was part of my argument for my application, and I think the exact same argument applies here:
"The Wiki has has considerably less moderators than it used to have, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but this is a large wiki that gets referenced even by official sources, is expanding into multiple games, yet only has 4 active mods. We're very lucky the Wiki hasn't suffered more vandalism than it already has. Also, complaints about comments on this Wiki are common - I feel I'd be helpful in dealing with these."

  5. Support Support — I mostly know of Caennen through reddit posts and they seem very knowledgeable and very approachable. I think he'd be a great addition to the mod team. I personally do not know anything about his wiki abilities, however. VesperSea (talk) 05:27, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
  6. Support Support — Responsibly used mod powers. DutyS12345 (talk) 11:24, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
  7. NeonSpotlight Support Support — More of a slight support than outright support. I haven't interacted with Caenen much, or really at all, on the wiki but I do see him all the time on the league subreddit and he seems like a good apple from what I've seen there. The reason for the slight support instead of outright support is that I'm not really sure what he needs the rights for. At the same time though he did have the rights for 5 months with no issues and he is an active editor, much more active than I, so I can't really think of an outright reason to oppose the nomination. I give this nomination a 70° angled thumbs up.  NeonSpotlight  Talk  Contribs  20:44, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
  8. Support Support — Reliable and diligent editor and tester, has a large degree of knowledge about the game and when I've done work with FrostFist for testing, I have often been instructed by Frost to forward test results to Caenen and often he added a lot of insight about specific interactions that could affect our testing and have us rule them out. I think Caenen has the ability to be a valuable asset to the Wiki and all of us as a Moderator. User:Hailfire805 14:50, 12 November 2020 (PST)

Neutral[]

  1. Neutral Neutral — Originally I was going to abstain from voting altogether; I simply don't know enough about either one to make an informed decision. But since you repeatedly called for votes on Discord, here is a neutral vote. As others noted, it seems like the Wiki is missing moderators, but I can't tell if Caenen would be a good one. I actually haven't seen them at all on Discord, probably because I stay away from League editing. LordRedStoneNr1 (talk) 03:02, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
