Akali (Message Wall - Contribs - Logs - Block/rights log) (Back to requests for permissions - Grant rights)

I, Teh, nominate Akali for moderatorship. Since his last moderator nomination, Akali has demonstrated a significantly high level of editing activity, and in particular, very high levels of anti-vandalism activity. By granting Akali moderator rights, I trust that he will be more effective in his editing activity. — kek TehAnonymous <3 19:16, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Support Support — He edits a lot, reverts plenty of vandalism and is constantly coming to me with vandals and such to deal with. He could certainly make great use of these rights. RadarMatt (talk) 21:26, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

  6. Support Support — Yes, I noticed he fished out a lot of vandalism for us to check on. It would be good to have very active moderators working on wikia. Mineko Charat Lucky (talk) 03:03, May 17, 2013 (UTC)
  7. Support Support — Since Akali's last nomination, Akali has made a much bigger effort at performing anti-vandalism efforts, and I feel that at this level, it is suitable to trust this user with moderator rights. 20px-1445357.png LionsLight(talk) 06:13, May 17, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Oppose Oppose — he doesn't need nor deserve moderator rights. I'd trust him with rollback happily, however. Destroying small children is one of the things Anasigma does best. 19:32, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

  • Comment Comment — @Psykolog your hostility seems particularly vehement and based on personal dislike. Please elaborate on why you feel that Akali neither "needs nor deserves moderator rights", in an objective manner. — kek TehAnonymous <3 19:49, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
    • I'd like all the people who are only upvoting him out of personal affection to develop a proper reason for it too, though. I however dislike how you accuse me of targeting and aggressiveness when all I did was pointing out that the rights would be wasted on him. Though he wouldn't be more useful with them than he is now, he wouldn't be harmful either. It would seem more appropriate to nominate him (or anyone) when an active moderator goes out of service. What we do need, however, is more rollback editors.Destroying small children is one of the things Anasigma does best. 23:32, May 17, 2013 (UTC)
      • I'll counter your points is reverse order. General consensus on the wiki has been that "Rollback Editor" is stupid because it does next to nothing, and is nothing more than a little pat on the back for new editors. Promoting Akali to moderator will simplify the moderating process: Akali has reverted plenty of vandalism without use of the rollback button, but lacks the additional privilege of the block tool, delaying such action until a mod+ sees it as well, which has sometimes allowed a vandal to run amok. Promoting Akali makes it easier for everyone involved, because response will be faster and mods won't have to make judgment on an act of vandalism they didn't personally revert/monitor. Continuing, if we accept "vacancy-based promotion" as a rule, there is ample room for Akali considering the many demoted ex-mods in the past months (see Special:Log/rights). Your disagree vote contained two claims ("doesn't deserve nor need...") with no substantial evidence. Comparatively, 5/8 support votes cite Akali's increased anti-vandalism activity since his first nomination as their basis for support, and 3/8 were apathetic supports from apathetic admins (though all admins are apathetic really). — kek TehAnonymous <3 00:24, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
      • ok, you said nothing useful and even modified truth to fit your "facts". I do not want to engage in a troll war with you and you basically won't listen to anything that isn't enforcing your own point for whatever reason anyway. Since he won't be more harmful with mod rights than he already is with chatmod rights, do as you wish. Destroying small children is one of the things Anasigma does best. 00:34, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
