Innate: Upon taking Death.png fatal damage, Kog'Maw Omen of Death.png remains active for 4 seconds, becoming unable to basic attack, cast abilities, use summoner spells or activate items but also being Cosmic Radiance.png invulnerable, Playful.png untargetable, and Cc-immune icon.png immune to crowd control and gaining up to Movement speed icon.png 40% bonus movement speed over the duration. At the end of the duration he explodes, dealing 125 − 550 (based on level) Hybrid penetration icon.png true damage to all nearby enemies.

Notes
  • Upon Death.png Death, Kog'Maw loses all Malefic Visions.png status effects (inherently including Stun icon.png crowd control effects) that do not inherently persist through death.
    • An example for a debuff that does persist through death is Brand's Brand's Blaze Blaze.
  • Icathian Surprise's Playful.png untargetability does not Bullet strikethrough.png destroy in-flight Projectile.png projectiles.
  • Revival icon.png Resurrection will take precedence over Icathian Surprise.
  • After Icathian Surprise ends, the corpse of Kog'Maw will retain unit collision for the duration of his death animation.
  • Icathian Surprise will still trigger if Kog'Maw is killed by the Nexus Obelisk.png Nexus Obelisk.
  • If Kog'Maw has an auto attack in the air at the same time that he's moving while he dies, as long as the auto hits the target after Icathian Surprise has started Kog'Maw will be able to auto once during Icathian Surprise.
  • Kog'Maw's usable summoner spells will go on 5 second cooldowns upon becoming a zombie.
