Vault Treasures[]
Offram took the deal. Said it’s no problem if one or two of the Vault’s items are “misplaced”. Bit of a catch, though. Offram might be willing to fudge the inventory a bit after the fact, but the man’s an absolute coward. Gave us the schematics for a few of the quieter wings, and the guard schedules for the next few days. Better if he’s not involved. Less cut for him.
Place is a maze, but I’m happy for the challenge. Been out of the game for too long. Didn’t get into this business to manage folks--nothing beats the thrill of pulling off a well-planned operation.
How ‘bout it? Know you two got real cozy after we “retired”, but I know there’s a reason you didn’t move too far from the Vaults.

Plan went off without a hitch… at first. Lilah zipped through that labyrinth like she had the answers. Mack practically had the key to the vault. Then he disappeared. Fell through some hole. Not in the floor, somewhere a little above it. Hard to describe. Lilah went next, screamin’, down into nothing.
Then it was my turn. Not sure where I am. Real dark. The room has a door, but it keeps movin’.
Offram showed up once, pushed some food through a slot. Said he was real sorry. Oh, he’s gonna be. He told me Lilah and Mack were trapped the same way, that we’d be helping the Vault keepers.
Joke’s on him, though. Found some kinda shiv wedged between the stones in the corner. Next time he shows up...
RECORDED: Journal of one “Crim”, a human who appeared in our dungeons and was subsequently used to examine the workings of [REDACTED]. He appeared to have no family; a team was not sent to recover his body following the test.
Offram has acknowledged his role in the interloper’s plan, and submitted himself for formal rebuke. As he explained, many of the Vault’s items only reveal their properties through interaction with a working mind, and volunteers are understandably difficult to find. Individuals such as Crim are preferable subjects. His companions will serve similar goals.
Crim’s examination has allowed us to safely house [REDACTED] in a binding which it cannot escape. Distasteful though his methods may have been, Offram saved more lives than he took.
I’ve rejected his offer to resign. Rather, I put in my recommendation for a promotion!
