Howling Marsh is a small region near the Institute of War, between the Ironspike Mountains, and the source of the Serpentine River. It is also a place filled known to be filled with with undead.

The vast quantities of physical magic that were consumed and destroyed during the numerous Rune Wars have scarred much of Valoran, the Howling Marsh being one of those places.

- Before his update,
Karthus was the self-appointed ruler of the marshes. On the darkest of nights, he would sing the tales of those who have journeyed and perished in it.
