Gold is the in-game currency of Wild Rift icon Wild Rift. It is used to buy items in the shop that provide champions with bonus stats and abilities, which in turn is one of the main ways for champions to increase their power over the course of a game.

At the beginning of the game, champions are given starting gold based on the map being played on, and can receive more gold through various means.

Starting Gold[]

Base gold generation[]

Every champion passively generates 3 3.5 each second, starting at 0:20.

Starting from 5 minutes, the teammate with the lowest gold amount receives an additional 1 Gold 1 per second.

Increasing active gold gain[]

Champions can also gain gold by doing certain actions. Gold that is earned through direct action from the player is considered active gold gain.

Runes[]

Killing units[]

Gold can be earned by dealing the killing blow ("last hit") to enemy minions and neutral monsters.

Minions[]

Last hitting minions grant gold to the killer. Minion death (whether last hit or not) grant 40 / 50% of their gold value shared between all nearby allied champions that did not last hit them.

  • Killing a melee minion grants 65 Gold 65.
  • Killing a caster minion grants 40 Gold 40.
  • Killing a siege minion grants 85 Gold 85.

Monsters[]

Killing the Dragon Dragon follows the same rule as with minions, and grants 150 Gold 150.

Champions[]

Gold can be earned by killing or assisting in killing enemy champions. The gold gain is determined by how many kills the slain champion has recently accumulated (champions that have killed many enemies without dying are worth more gold).

  • Destroying a turret, inhibitor or nexus grants varying amounts of gold.
    • Outer turret
      • Local gold: 175 Gold 175.
      • Global gold: 75 Gold 75.
    • Inner turret
      • Local gold: 150 Gold 150.
      • Global gold: 75 Gold 75.
    • Inhibitor turret
      • Local gold: 175 Gold 175.
      • Global gold: 75 Gold 75.

Wards[]

  • Destroying a ward / trap grants varying amounts of gold.

Objectives[]

Selling Items[]

  • All items can be sold back at the shop for 70% of their total cost.
  • When you undo an item purchase, you are refunded the full cost. Gold generation items also return any gold they generated.
